“Right” as ever 🤪 So interesting that we see the same names on X all supporting each other in this right-wing game of old time traddy education. An elaborate - & no doubt funded - network of governance. Roll out Gove for extra punch as he embodies all the necessary values 😶‍🌫️

A patient who asks for white staff only, should be refused treatment by the NHS. Racism has no place in Britain. If you are racist, fund your own treatment.

CCTV and bodycams for teachers in every classroom during all lessons. It’s the only solution we have IMHO. So everyone can see with their own eyes how much patience, support and professionalism 99.9% of teachers demonstrate and what they have to face on a daily basis. It’s much harder to distort and the presentation of every child as angelic and teachers as cruel monsters can finally be put to bed.

All the Athena policies I could find referenced in the Panorama report: 3-2-1 focus ‘repeated by teachers’ Eyes on me/face the teacher whilst they are speaking No toilet breaks first 15/last 15 of lessons First warning, second warning removal 2 lessons+break reflection room Some silent work in most lessons Using a ruler to read line by line as a class “Pens down” Strict uniform policy What makes this school ‘authoritarian’ ‘cruel’ and ‘dystopian’?

I wonder if Panorama will do a documentary on schools where behaviour is chaotic, unruly & unsafe coupled with why it’s chaotic, where leaders don’t take responsibility for behaviour and the impact of this on teaching, learning, recruitment & retention of staff & pupils…

kB: “Most headteachers aren’t like me, they just want to walk their dog and take their own children to school and drive their car [and not be hated]” KB performing to MG, caricaturing and disparaging committed headteachers is not a good look and is simply disrespectful…
Why is Katharine Birbalsingh hated? Britain's 'strictest headteacher' explains why her old-fashioned approach to education makes her such a divisive figure. Watch in full | youtube.com/watch?v=e2ZBmsi-… | @michaelgove | @Miss_Snuffy

Now the heat is lessening. Anyone going to roll out a plan for how we don’t have a twice yearly repeat of the abuse lots of us have faced @educationgovuk? Ignoring what is happening would be negligent. Bookmarked ready for next winter/summer

And they wonder why finding good headteachers for disadvantaged schools is so difficult. It is so hard day in, day out and we are basically told we aren’t doing well enough and have low expectations 🤯 tone deaf does not come close 😢
It's even worse when you read the full speech.

What’s best for the classroom? Removing the student who constantly disrupts learning OR Expecting the teacher to spend most of their time managing that one student while everyone else waits?

The implicit assumption that teachers are all neurotypical and that’s why they don’t understand neurodivergence is WILD. Have you met science teachers. Have you ever met them.

@itv NONE of these is the correct answer! Respiration is an enzyme controlled chemical reaction occurring in the mitochondria! Inhalation, exhalation, inspiration or expiration would have been more suitable options!

Building a relationship is not a substitute for a robust behaviour policy. Yes, relationships are important and a fun part of the job! But don’t gaslight teachers into believing ‘they have to like you first.’ They don’t. When they respect you, they will like you.

Jane Austen pioneered literary realism, was a predecessor of the modern romcom, spawned more adaptations and retellings than Shakespeare himself, and is still widely read today because her novels were so startlingly modern in the interiority of her characters. This has to be bait
