Dear @SohailAshrafGor, I am an overseas Pakistani and I need you and Chairman CDA @CDAthecapital to hear this. I own a house in Islamabad. I came back to rebuild it, ready to spend my life savings in precious foreign exchange in Pakistan instead of anywhere else in the world. Instead, I have spent the last 2 months inside CDA offices. Three hours every single day. Meeting after meeting with directors and members. Every visit ends with the same empty promise: "your file will move tomorrow." Why is it stuck? Because someone bribed their way into CDA and got a letter affixed to MY file that clearly belongs to a completely different property three streets away. The plot number on it was changed from 449 to 499 , and a handsome amount was paid to make that forgery stick. Anyone who opens the file can see it in 30 seconds. Yet no officer is willing to remove it on the pretext of following the course of law. Think about what this means. An overseas Pakistani, with clean papers and money ready to invest, can be held hostage for months by one forged letter and one bribe. Meanwhile the person who paid the bribe faces no questions at all. Chairman CDA, I ask you directly: how does an average Pakistani get justice in this system? The one who cannot sit in your office for 2 months? The one who has no contacts, no camera, no journalist to tag? You appeal to overseas Pakistanis to send remittances and invest back home. I did exactly that. This is what I got in return. I am asking for one thing only: open my file, remove the forged letter that belongs to plot 449, and hold accountable whoever inserted it.
