Sunderland spent 8 YEARS in the Championship. One season back in the Premier League and they’re already playing in Europe.
Brighton are in Europe.
Bournemouth are in Europe — a club that was practically on its knees when Eddie Howe took over.
Crystal Palace are in Europe AGAIN after beating Manchester City in the FA Cup final.
And somehow we’re still being told the Premier League is a “closed shop”? 😂
Look at what’s happening:
Brighton went 2-0 down to Man United in the Carabao Cup and came back to win 3-2.
Three days later, they absolutely dismantled Arsenal.
Brentford put three past Chelsea that same weekend.
Hull came up from the Championship and have already beaten United and taken a point at Stamford Bridge. They’re sitting 8th.
Where exactly is this “no chance for smaller clubs” argument coming from?
And I genuinely don't understand the “red cartel” argument either.
Arsenal waited 22 years for another league title.
Liverpool have won two league titles in roughly four decades.
United haven't won the Premier League in 13 years.
So what exactly is PSR supposedly protecting these clubs from? 😂
Trophies?
Because over the last decade, the clubs collecting the most silverware have been Manchester City and Chelsea — the same clubs at the centre of major financial-rule controversies.
Yet somehow we're supposed to believe the problem is everyone else.
At some point, you have to take responsibility.
“We had no choice.”
Yes, you did.
Brighton had the same choice.
So did Brentford.
So did Bournemouth.
They built gradually, developed players, recruited intelligently and stayed within the framework.
And now they're competing at the top end of English football.
Maybe the problem isn't that the door is closed.
Maybe some clubs simply don't like the fact that everyone has to walk through the same door now. 😭
PSR hasn't stopped competition.
If anything, look at the clubs breaking through and tell me the competition is dead.
The excuses need to stop. 😤

Copied from fb....
My daughter came home from school and said,
“Mom, you’re not going to believe what happened in history class today.”
Her teacher told the class they were going to play a game.
He walked around the room and whispered to each kid whether they were a witch or just a regular person. Then he gave the instructions:
“Form the biggest group you can without a witch. If your group has even one, you all fail.”
She said the whole room instantly lit up with suspicion.
Everyone started interrogating each other. Are you a witch? How do we know you’re not lying?
Some kids clung to one big group, but most broke off into smaller, exclusive cliques. They turned away anyone who seemed uncertain, nervous, or gave off even the slightest hint of being guilty.
The energy shifted fast. Suddenly everyone was suspicious of everyone.
Whispers. Finger-pointing. Side-eyes. Trust dissolved in minutes.
Finally, when all the groups were formed, the teacher said,
“Alright, time to find out who fails. Witches, raise your hands.”
And not one hand went up.
The whole class exploded. “Wait! You messed up the game!”
And then the teacher dropped the bomb:
“Did I? Were there any actual witches in Salem, or did everyone just believe what they were told?”
My daughter said the room went dead silent.
That’s when it hit them. No witch was ever needed for the damage to happen. Fear had already done its work. Suspicion alone divided the entire class, turning community into chaos.
And isn’t that exactly what we’re seeing today?
Different words, same playbook.
Instead of “witch,” it’s liberal, conservative, vaxxed, unvaxxed, pro-this, anti-that.
The labels shift, but the tactic is the same.
Get people scared. Get them suspicious. Get them divided.
Then sit back while trust crumbles.
The danger was never the witch.
The danger is the rumor. The suspicion. The fear. The planted lies.
Refuse the whisper. Don’t play the game. Because the second we start hunting “witches,” we’ve already lost.

Glazers are dancing around so many fans. I find it hard to believe how easy they’re having it.
INEOS are getting 95% of the slack because United have run out of money. Fans are asking them to buy players with money we do not have.
Do you know what an easy solution would be? Has anyone considered this???
How about the Glazers (the majority owners) actually give the club some money to spend? Because they haven’t done that since that criminal takeover in 2005.
They’ve cost United £1bn+, debts that Sir Jim Ratcliffe used a chunk of the £250m~ he actually did personally invest to pay off.
Mbeumo deal is taking the piss, but I do wish people would stop failing to hold the leeches at fault accountable.

Epic project with the right idea & community just too soon. If it dropped now with the space having gone through a few cycles I would expect this to be relevant.

Hi @SkySports_Keith, yes you are missing something - Manchester United players & fans were celebrating one of the craziest comebacks & games of football imaginable - the last thing we should be gatekeeping.
Those emotions are what football is all about. Uncontrollable joy, adrenaline & total, unbridled ecstasy that only 3 goals in the last 8 minutes of a game can do, that only football can make you feel.
I know you're normally just a puppet for Newcastle's sportswashing project but try not to be a total bellend.
Morning @SkySports_Keith see you’ve deleted your tweet mocking Man Utd players, the 2nd Sky employee to do it within a few days, if you don’t understand the emotions football brings especially to a group of players under immense pressure then I’m not sure you are in the right job

Manchester United had to win. There wasn't an alternative. The season, already an unmitigated disaster domestically, was going to be over. The Europa League can change the short & long term club outlook.
They scored early, they never score early. They got a second goal before half time, they don't do that either. Things were going to plan at half time, better even compared to what we are used to.
For over an hour after that, the club was heading for a rock bottom unlike anything it had experienced yet in the past decade. This felt like finally the moment where it was about to become complete catastrophe.
Whether it was the scriptwriters or whatever else, Old Trafford had another all time European night planned. An 8 minute period of record setting comeback, sending the fanbase into a state rarely seen in years.
Nobody is hiding from the weaknesses of this squad, the manager's lessons to be learned, or the problems the club still has - but for a brief time that all fell away into pure joy, raw emotion & a night we'll never forget.
Eventually it's getting back to what's ahead, but we're allowed to enjoy & relish the biggest game & night this season has thrown our way - with bigger ones ahead.

Whenever you hear talk about how crime has gotten — worse — you should be vary.
There were for example de facto a higher murder rate in Finland in 2022 than in the UK and Sweden, and Finland has accepted very few immigrants while Sweden and the UK have given asylum to a lot of people. So while there definitely is a connection between movement of people (unsettled people) and murders — it’s far from the biggest factor.
In the US, the murder rate is about 6x as high as in the UK and Sweden. In Sweden, 19% of the population are immigrants, both the US and UK are around 14-15%.
Another country who has accepted more immigrants than both the US and UK, and have less than 50% of the murders of countries like Sweden, Finland and the UK — is Norway. What does Norway have that others don’t?
It’s a very rich country — and — it spends most of its wealth on socialist reforms. The US is also tremendously rich, 8th in the world in GDP per capita while Norway is 4th, the murder rate in the US is however 1,200% higher than in Norway.
I am not a criminologist — but if you want to combat crime, without any single doubt, socialist reforms is the best option. Just to be clear — I am not saying that everyone should vote for socialist parties, everyone is free to vote how they want. But linking big issues with crime to immigration is just complete nonsense. The further east you go in Europe — the higher crime rate you get, and the fewer immigrants the countries will have accepted, due to the countries being poorer for historic reasons.
Piers Morgan- “Everyone in England used to have guns, now they don’t. But the consequence of this is gun crime went away.”
Tucker Carlson- “Oh is London safe now!? 😂”
Piers Morgan- “We do have a knife crime epidemic.”
Tucker - “No you have a people problem. Was there lots of knife crime or shootings in England in the 70’s? No. You imported people who stab each other, and you didn’t used to have that.”

Utd had their soul ripped out by the Glazers who took over a sporting institution and treated it like a sleazy brothel. Their only guiding principle was profit, everything made sense if it made dollars and cents. All that remains of Utd that once was, is a criminally neglected old stadium that deserved much more respect, the fans and the colour of our shirts. The Glazers created a culture of every man for himself, a definition of success that can only be found on a balance sheet and so inevitably, the team reflects the solipsistic culture of their bosses. Sadly the consequences of that are being paid by the people who aren’t responsible for it. If Utd are ever to get back to what they where, it has to be a club that people want to work for and it has to be a club that holds itself to the standards it asked to be judged by. The constant sacking and hiring of managers is no different to changing your shirt when you shit your shorts, what’s broken at Utd can’t be fixed by a manager.
