#GeneralElectionsKE2027
We keep missing the fundamental point in the debate on presidential election results transmission because we ignore Article 138(2) of the Constitution. The Constitution provides that the presidential election shall be conducted in each constituency. Read together with Article 86(c), which requires constituency returning officers to announce the results from their respective constituencies, the constitutional logic is clear: the constituency is the primary unit of presidential election administration and results declaration.
This should determine how IEBC designs its entire results transmission architecture. The servers, electronic transmission infrastructure, live-streaming systems and media reporting should be organised around the 290 constituencies. Every constituency should be a visible, independently verifiable source of results, allowing Kenyans to follow the counting, verification and announcement of votes in real time, rather than depending on a centralised national tallying centre to tell them what happened across the country.
The national tallying centre should not become the nerve centre upon which the credibility of the entire presidential election depends. Centralisation creates an unnecessary bottleneck, shifts public attention away from the actual points of declaration and risks turning a process that should be transparent at the constituency level into a spectacle dominated by events at the national centre.
The Constitution does not require Kenya to organise its electoral transparency around a national tallying centre. It requires a system in which the integrity of the vote can be established at the point where the results are counted, verified and announced. IEBC should therefore prioritise constituency-level transmission, immediate public access to constituency results and independent media verification. The national centre should facilitate the aggregation of results, not become the substitute for transparency at the constituency level.
The principle is simple: let Kenyans watch the election where it happens, verify the results where they are announced, and follow their transmission without having to trust a single centralised point. That is how technology should strengthen constitutional accountability, protect the sovereignty of the voter and restore public confidence in presidential elections.

You sound junior at work without even realizing it.
Senior leaders never say these 7 things:
Precisely! The battle front is highly likely compromised, by them that are of faint heart and price tag been met.
I think the most painful part about fighting for change is watching people you genuinely believed were part of the movement slowly water it down, shake hands with murderers, laugh with them, sit comfortably around the very oppressors they once condemned, then come back with all sorts of explanations and excuses for why they were there, why it was necessary and why we shouldn’t read too much into it. And you’re left wondering, was any of this ever real, or were some of these people simply well calculated psyops from the very beginning?
And then you find yourself asking an even harder question, are the lives we lost not personal to you? Because for some of us, they are. We remember the young people who lost their lives fighting for a better country, the families that had to bury their children, the blood that was spilled, and maybe that’s why it’s so difficult to understand how someone who stood beside you through all of that can suddenly sit comfortably, laugh and shake hands with the very people we were fighting against 🥹
And somewhere along the way, you begin to understand why people like Patrice Lumumba, Dedan Kimathi, Thomas Sankara and so many other African heroes were killed so brutally. It wasn’t always because they didn’t have people around them. Many did. The problem was that some of the very people they believed they were fighting alongside had already sold out long before the fight was over.
Perhaps that is one of the hardest truths about fighting for change, eventually you realise that people really do have a price. Politics is indeed a dirty game, and I have a feeling 2027 will expose even more about people’s character.
But I really hope the few who genuinely believe in change don’t give up. Is it easy? Absolutely not. But I believe there is something deeply fulfilling about knowing that even if you died today, you never sold out, never shook hands with murderers and never became comfortable with people who have blood on their hands simply because they offered you money, access or power. Does that make you a hero? Absolutely not. It simply means you remained honest about what you stood for.
And eventually, when money no longer matters, when power no longer matters and when all the noise has died down, I think being able to live with yourself knowing you never betrayed what you believed in is what will matter most.
WANTAM!

The Central Bank’s record of what we owe and the National Treasury’s record of the same debt differ by more than Sh6 trillion.
Sh6,164,439,173,574. This is a number in Kenya’s public accounts that should stop the entire country cold, yet almost nobody is talking about it. Money is never lost. It is spent on people who prefer that you cannot follow it.

Dear business owners:
There are valuable lessons to be learned from Bharat Thakar (@bharatthakrar) - Founder and Ex CEO WPP Scangroup. He was ousted from WPP Scangroup in March 2021.
In an emotional speech today he said " My dream is dead but the company can be rescued".
When a shareholder asked why he wanted a "dead baby" he replied, "Give me the dead baby. It's my dead baby"
Key takeaways for founders:
First, as a founder do not relinquish majority control of your business/company.
Secondly, if you must give up majority shareholding to raise capital or bring expertise, structure your shares with Class A and Class B shares so that as a founder your class B shares have veto rights and you retain control of your business.
As founders, we are emotionally attached to our companies and losing a business you built, poured years of sweat, passion and sacrifice is truly painful. @BoardLotSultan @EncapKenya

WPPScangroup AGM just ended. 🚨High darama AGM!
-The best AGM I have ever attended.
-Tense at the beginning but great management by Chair Richard Omwela.
-Presentation by
@bharatthakrar
was for goosebumps.
-Bharat was allowed to do presentation un-interupted for 30+minutes. What a show. Total deference by the board
-Total failure by WPP representatives to attend is disrepectful to local shareholders
-3 Directors proposed for election by WPP also did not show up to be introduced. WTF.
-Secret revelation by Bharat Thakrar. WPP have given him a poison pill[ If you want your company back, pay us 56% of cash held. 56% of 2b= 1.2b]

If there is such a thing as an open secret, I’m going to let you in on one:
Capitalism favors owners (owners of capital).

The body has special nerves known as CRANIAL NERVES.
They are 12.
I) Olfactory
II) Optic
III) Oculomotor
IV) Trochlear
V) Trigeminal
VI) Abducen
VII) Facial
VIII) Vestibulocochlear
IX) Glossopharyngeal
X) Vagus
XI) Accessory
XII) Hypoglossal
These cranial nerves affect sensory responses or motor responses or both.
Sensory responses are those signals that get relayed to the brain while motor responses are those signals relayed from the brain to affect muscular movement.
For example, if you touch a hot pan, the sensory nerves pick information from a hot pan and then relay it to the brain. Once the brain registers this information, the motor nerves send the information back to your hand to pull the hand away from the hot pan.
There is an important cranial nerve known as VAGUS NERVE. It is the 10th cranial nerve.
It is part of something called the parasympathetic nervous system which is responsible for rest, digestion and sleep.
It has both sensory and motor functions. It takes information from the organs it affects (heart, gut, lungs) and sends the information from the brain back to muscular tissues in the mouth, stomach and lungs.
For example, if you tickle your uvula, you will vomit. That's the vagus nerve at work.
The vagus nerve connects the gut to the brain. This connection is known as THE GUT-BRAIN AXIS.
This bidirectional communication pathway regulates the functions of the gut like appetite, digestion and absorption of food including the connection of emotions and cognitive functions between the brain and the gut.
The emotional and cognitive failure due to a weak vagus nerve explains why depressed or anxious people eat all the time. - and end up being obese.
When children refuse to eat or when adults refuse to eat, it is the vagus nerve sending important information about the gut.
THE VAGUS NERVE is the longest cranial nerve in the human body and the most important in digestion.
It helps in:
- breathing
- digestion
- heart beating
It also helps in swallowing, coughing and sneezing.
If this nerve becomes ineffective, then the body will suffer indigestion, bloating, slow heart rate & depression.
Most people walk around with a sick vagus nerve, but they don't know.
The VAGUS NERVE must remain effective and efficient.
If it fails, then the metabolic machine will also fail.
To make it efficient, you must:
1. Improve your breathing technique. Breath through your nostrils. Before bedtime, take a deep breath of 5 seconds then a deep exhalation of 5 seconds. Repeat for 3 minutes.
Also make deep, controlled breaths especially when sitting or walking or exercising.
2. Take long nature walks. Switch off your phone, no earphones. Just you, your steps and nature.
3. Eat salt. Add potassium citrate before bedtime.

Tujitegemee, tulipe kodi.
After KRA does due deligence on collections; prudent budgetary allocations by NA/Senate, utilization by the Executive, Gov't Departments/Parastatals, public institutions and County Governments MUST follow.
Otherwise, ROI kwa mzee's taxes ni 😭 tu.
Leo nayo imekuwa another day to solve KRA dramas😂😂😂
There is this old mzee…
Ako na ngombe zake mwecheche.. kuna watu walikuja kwa kijiji last year and gave them a good deal ya maziwa. Watakuwa wananunua maziwa at 50 bob per litre. Mzee anaproduce 80 Ltrs per day.
Biashara smart sana.
Kampuni ikamwambia inataka KRA pin yake. They have to declare whatever they buy as expenses on etims so that they can claim their business expenses when filling when filling income tax.
Remember any business claiming deductions for business expenses must support them with valid electronic tax invoices.
Failure to issue eTIMS-compliant invoices for supplies denies you the ability to claim your business expenses when filing income tax returns. As well as claim the input VAT in your monthly VAT return (for those who are registered for VAT).
Kuitishwa pin number Kenya imekuwa mambo ya kawaida. So mzee akapeana pin number
Sasa leo, akanitafuta nimfilie returns. Akasema mwaka mzima hakuna biashara amefanya. So anataka niweke Nill.
Mimi teke teke nika login kwa website ya KRA. Nikaenda pande ya returns. Nikabonyeza NILL return.
KRA wakaweka hapo maandishi ya red
“The total turnover for eTims/Tims invoice of Kshs 1,118,250 is higher than the gross turnover declared in the return. Please declare the correct turnover and proceed with filling…..”
In short KRA inaambia mzee ako na biashara alifanya ya Kshs. 1,118,250/- anafaa alipie tax.
Nikauliza mzee kwani uko na kabiashara.. mzee akaniambia hana kazi ata anasurvive na tupesa watoto yake wanamtumianga😂😂
Nikapigia watu hapo KRA niwaulize rada mbona wanaharass mzee😂😂😂
KRA wakaniambia niulize mzee kama ako na ngombe..
Nikauliza mzee kama ako na ngombe..
Mzee innocently akaniambia ako na ng’ombe tano alinunuliwa na watoto wake zikuwe zinamkeep busy..
Very nice…. Nikaambia watu wa kra mzee amenunuliwa ngombe na vijana wake asipate depression ushago after leaving Nairobi life..
Jamaa wa KRA akaniambia mzee anauza maziwa anategeneza Kshs. 4,000 per day na anataka kudeclare NIL returne yet watchman wa G4S on a salary of 1K per day analipa ushuru.
Wakaniuliza sasa mzee anataka serikali ijenge barabara, ipeane security, iweke stima na pesa gani? Kama yeye hataki kulipa ushuru zitajengwa aje? Na kazi ni kusema hakuna kitu serikali inafanya..
Ilibidi nikanyagie kuambia mzee iyo story juu mambo ingechemka😂😂
In normal circustances mzee should have written down expenses za feeds, vets, interest ya fuliza ile inaambatana na biashara etc and kept the receipts so that we deduct from the sales. We then calculate 30% and pay KRA.
Shida ile iko ni ati KRA sasa hawataki word of mouth. Wanataka kama ulinunua kitu wewe make sure uko na eTIMS receipt.
Mzee hana receipt any atleast angekuwa nayo tungefile Manual and non eTIMs invoices.
Nikamshow aingie KRA watamsaidia
Nilifanya mahesabu yangu nikaona KRA itamdai Kshs. 335,475/-
Nyinyi mnaona kama atasaidika?
Alafu jomba usikubali kufanya biashara na mtu hana eTIMS utalia sana..
Sahii mtalipa ushuru ndio mjitegemee.
If whatever you are doing to make money finds its way into a mainstream business. Wewe jua you will have a date with KRA

In reality, it can isolate you if it threatens the wrong people.
So is success really about being smart or about being socially strategic?
