Moses led his people to salvation when the Red Sea parted, while Pharaoh subjected his people to untold hardship. Tinubu, you seem to have learnt the spiritual lessons the other way round!
I listen to my political opponents promising the return of subsidy. I remember my scripture studies in either the Bible or the Holy Quran. When Moses left Egypt, they faced the challenge, the Red Sea parted and gave way. You cannot ask Moses to go back to Egypt. - President Tinubu

Breaking News: ATIKU'S POLICE DIGNITY GUARANTEE PLAN (PDGP) Highpoints 1. Audit and settle verified pension arrears and gratuity claims against published payment dates. 2. Establish a pension floor and review it as the cost of living changes. 3. Provide insured healthcare for officers in service and in retirement. 4. Review police pay so serving officers can feed their families without drawing down their pension savings. 5. Before retirement, every officer will receive a clear record of contributions and entitlements, a named contact to resolve disputes, and a dependable payment date - guaranteed in the budget and published. "Police officers have given Nigeria their strength and their years. Those who protect this country must be able to protect their families. And when their service ends, Nigeria must keep its word to them.” ~ HE Atiku Abubakar #MakeNigeriaAffordableAgain #EyesOnTheBall #ADCPCC

Atiku unveils police welfare plan, says he will clear pension arrears if elected Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has unveiled a police welfare plan aimed at improving salaries, settling pension arrears, and providing healthcare for serving and retired police officers if elected president in 2027. In a statement issued on Sunday by Phrank Shaibu, director of strategic communication of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential campaign council, Atiku said his proposed “Police Dignity Guarantee Plan” would address longstanding challenges affecting police welfare. He also demanded an immediate explanation over the status of the Police Exit Bill and called for an urgent review of police salaries following the pay increase approved for members of the armed forces. thecable.ng/atiku-unveils-po…

You are working for the APC, @KwankwasoRM. Even kids on the streets know that you are an APC agent. But you can't stop @Atiku, a man whose time has come to make Nigeria great again.
I have noted with deep concern the conduct of the ADC campaign team. The attacks directed at me, our presidential candidate His Excellency Peter Obi, and our party, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), are unnecessary and unhelpful. Rather than focusing on presenting the competence, credibility, and capacity of their own candidate as we have consistently done by placing our credentials and record of achievements before Nigerians, the ADC Presidential Campaign Council appears intent on creating mischief against our party and ticket. This includes attempts to portray us as working for the ruling party or to suggest that we may withdraw from the race in favour of the ADC candidate at the last minute. The ADC-PCC would be better served directing its energy toward rebutting the serious allegations levelled against their candidate by the Vice President, His Excellency Kashim Shettima, instead of targeting me and His Excellency Peter Obi. We are aware that the ADC-PCC may try to mislead our supporters on the eve of the election by claiming that we intend to withdraw in their favour. Let me state clearly and unequivocally: we will not withdraw our candidature for the ADC or any other party. We remain confident in our capacity, competence, and readiness to lead Nigeria. The OK ticket is neither working for nor acting on behalf of the APC or any of its candidates. We see no possibility or reason to withdraw from the presidential race in favour of the ADC candidate or any other. These claims are unfounded and should be treated as such. The APC-led government has failed Nigerians. The ADC offers no better alternative. We believe the OK ticket presents a credible and viable option, backed by proven capacity, a strong track record, credibility, and broad support across both Northern and Southern Nigeria. It is a healing ticket committed to uniting our country and tackling critical challenges in security, education, agriculture, infrastructure, healthcare, the economy, and other key sectors. We believe the NDC remains the most formidable and viable opposition party in the country. I therefore urge all our supporters and well-meaning Nigerians to continue working toward the victory of our great party. Nigeria will be OK. - RMK

The service was doing 3 trips each way before you came on board sir. I suggest you stop with the excuses and get to work – at Abuja, Nigeria
When you have 665 seats and 10,000 persons are struggling to get it. The first 665 passengers will get the seats within minutes and the system will simply tell that there is no seat. You can't create what you don't have. Under this administration, ticket racketeering reduced to less than 1percent because of the measures we put in place.

His Excellency, we see through you. We all see how our running mate @ChibuikeAmaechi calls out this administration Prove us wrong by doing one thing. Prove you are not working for BAT, put out a tweet criticizing him and outrightly calling out his failures. A simple request.

Unfortunately the rest of Nigeria don't understand the Yoruba politics. If Tinubu's not a Yoruba man Nigeria would have burnt. Yorubas are not playing regional politics but ethnic politics. I pity igbos & south south saying it's the turn of the south 🤣

Today, that prophecy is being fulfilled before our very eyes. What makes this betrayal collective is that no prominent southern voice of consequence has risen to defend El-Rufai. The governors from the South, the Yoruba elders, the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC)—they have all maintained a calculated silence. Some have even gone further, actively painting El-Rufai as a corrupt politician who deserves his fate. This is the reward for the man who, as MURIC put it, "gave southerners the presidency" . This is the gratitude of a region that received power on a silver platter from the North and responded by locking the platter’s carrier in a detention cell. The northern politicians who remain in Tinubu’s cabinet are not blind to this betrayal. They see it. They feel it. But they are trapped. They are not loyal allies; they are servants of the crown, functionaries who understand that speaking out would cost them their positions. They watched El-Rufai be sacrificed, and they know they could be next. Those standing on the mandate of Tinubu today are not partners in a national project. They are prisoners of a regional arrangement that has shown its true colors. As the philosopher George Santayana famously warned, "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." The North remembers. And the North will not repeat its mistake. Let us speak plainly about the numbers. Between 1999 and 2023, the South occupied the presidency for 14 years (Obasanjo 8 years, Jonathan 6 years) while the North occupied it for only 8 years (Yar‘Adua 3 years, Buhari 8 years minus Yar‘Adua’s 3). If Tinubu serves his full first term until 2027, the South would have held Aso Rock for 17 years against the North’s 11 years. If Tinubu wins re-election and serves until 2031, those numbers become 21 years for the South versus 11 for the North. This is not power sharing. This is power hoarding. And yet southern voices have the audacity to call northerners who question this arrangement "traitors" . The philosopher Edmund Burke once observed, "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." The good men of the North, the ones who followed El-Rufai’s lead in 2022, have learned a bitter lesson. Their sacrifice was met with silence. Their champion was met with detention. Their loyalty was met with betrayal. It will take a very long time for the South-West to secure another genuine alliance with the North. Trust, once broken, cannot be repaired with appeals to zoning. It can only be restored with justice, reciprocity, and the release of Nasir El-Rufai from the clutches of a persecution that has shamed the very concept of Nigerian federalism. Until then, the North watches, the North remembers, and the North will not trust zoning to the South in 2027. Mohammed Bello Doka can be reached via [email protected] Abuja Network News
