I warmly recommend this on Sunday afternoon. Microtonal is a word I often associate with painfully dull academic music, but there's something wonderfully breezy about Microtub. Long stretches of sound that entwine and elapse. Saw them play new Cat Lamb work recently & adored it.
This Sunday afternoon we welcome Microtub, the trio of Robin Hayward, Peder Simonsen and Martin Taxt, consisting of three microtonal tubas. Since 2010 they have explored microtonal music with their unique instruments.
