When yโall start putting together your Top 5 SA Hip-Hop lists in November, please donโt forget @Ta_Longz and @tswyza_wyza . These guys have been some of the biggest contributors to the culture. And we canโt leave out @Speeka !
Let me add Mswenko to the conversation too, even though his sessions came a little later.
If weโre looking at the period from November 2025 to November 2026, please leave the bias at the door! Ta Longz, Tswyza and Speeka have shown us just how important platforms like theirs are to keeping SA Hip-Hop alive, documented and celebrated.
The culture needs people who do more than talk about it. It needs people who actively build it. And these guys deserve their flowers.

๐ค Is MswenkoFranko putting South African hip hop back on the map?
Over the past few months, MswenkoFranko has become one of the biggest platforms for South African hip hop. From sitting down with legendary artists to giving the new generation a space to tell their stories.
Beyond the conversations, he's also helping emerging artists gain exposure through live performances and showcasing fresh talent to a wider audience.
In a time when many have questioned the direction of SA hip hop, some believe MswenkoFranko is helping reignite the culture one interview and one performance at a time.
๐ฌ Do you think he's leading the movement, or is there someone else doing more for the culture?
