The scientists have been captured by fossil fuel interests for decades and don't have a clue what's really happening. This is extremely dangerous because scientists are implicitly trusted. The latest modelling, the IPCC, James Hansen and V. Ramanathan are in unison. This planet will inevitably blast through 2°C in the 2040s. These are Hansen's exact words: "Global warming of at least 2°C is now baked into Earth's future. That level of warmth will occur by midcentury." The land surface currently warms around 50% more than the global average and this gap will keep widening. So humanity is facing an increase in land temperature from the current 1.8°C to more than 3°C over the next *20 years*. Regional increases will be much higher. Our modern, highly integrated, extremely computerised and electrified, just-in-time supermarket societies cannot withstand that rate and magnitude of warming and will collapse over the next 5, 10, 15 years. In fact, no society can withstand it. All I ever do is state the blindingly obvious. Climate change is absolutely brutal. There will be no second chances. Every time activists ignore my messaging, which is actually the combined messaging of everyone I've learned from, they are potentially causing early deaths in the future, possibly even their own deaths.
