Glad to see the feds going after ticket scalping operations for using bots to bypass ticket limits and rip fans off.
Interesting that the FTC is also suing Live Nation and @Ticketmaster over knowingly let brokers to exceed ticket limits and profited from resale. And the FTC’s identifies REPS, the very same ticket scalping operation the government is now suing separately.
Ticketmaster’s own internal records from 2018 identified REPS with over 1,000 purchasing accounts and 102,000 tickets.
The new federal lawsuit describes REPS using its own staff and methods to defeat Ticketmaster’s security measures, while Ticketmaster attempted to stop those purchases.
Yet the FTC’s other lawsuit against Live Nation and Ticketmaster cites internal communications about Ticketmaster turning a “blind eye as a matter of policy” to broker violations and weakening security measures over concerns about lost revenue.

A Catholic priest was delivering a sermon about how suddenly life can end when tragedy struck during a livestreamed Mass in Guayaquil, Ecuador, on Saturday, October 17.
Father Patricio Sánchez Molinari had just warned his congregation:
“One day, all of us here will also die.”
He urged worshippers to stop wasting precious time scrolling on their phones and instead spend it with God and loved ones.
Approximately three minutes later, a massive crucifix fell and fatally struck him in front of his congregation.

All of the “content creators” who did the math and thought that following on Aidan Kearney’s coattails regardless of how horrible he is or what he does to damage innocent people fail to understand that it’s a limited term prospect for a few reasons. It ultimately will end up impacting them more negatively than positively.
1. He doesn’t give a fuck about you. When you become too popular that he gets jealous, he’ll attack you himself or 2. When you cross lines and get caught doing so he’ll make you the scapegoat. 3. When he’s in jail and you no longer have his “perceived” protection, your brand is getting hammered out of existence by tying you to your repeated bad behavior AND his.
You can stick around if you want but it’s a lot like gambling. You have to know when to walk away. Best of luck for those of you who don’t because I’m getting ready and I’m going to enjoy the hell out of the next part. 🤝🔨
