Humbled beyond words to have been elected as the first ever Labour MP for The Home of the British Army.

We cannot build our defence industrial capacity without stronger defence finance.
And if we don’t seize this moment, we risk Britain being shut out of a growing pool of allied defence finance

Ukraine has shown us that, if we want to withstand Russia, we must ramp up our industrial capacity. Today I once again made the case to Government for the UK to join the Defence Security and Resilience Bank, mobilising the capital needed to outbuild and outlast our adversaries.
