This project never fails to make me want to pull my hair out. But seeing kids excited to see their gene put together with their classmates and being able to use this as a reference all year long makes it totally worth it! #RobinsonISD
My high schoolers love to play with play doh! Using play doh to model different types of cell transport today! #RobinsonISD
BTC and cell review! Students played some "dominos" or connected the cell/review vocabulary words together and then explained why they were related. Then they went to other groups and explained their thinking as well! ##RobinsonISD
BTC + our first science phenomenon = a great first day of content! 🥰 These kiddos were so nervous when they saw the content in the pretest, but they're already learning so much! #RobinsonISD

#RobinsonISD high school science teachers taking over Building Thinking Classrooms! @pgliljedahl
Testing to see which spots in the school grow the most bacteria! 🤢 Some really cool, late-in-the-year learning going on over here!

I know it's not for everyone, but I love being a tested subject 🥰 day 1 of EOC-lympics was so cup-filling! Seeing kid's confidence grow with each review and get competitive with their sister houses as they earn points for studying is the best!

Did some #buildingthinkingclassrooms in biology yesterday! We made mind maps show how the body systems work together. It was so fun watching kids think it out together! #RobinsonISD
Happy Valentine's day from your biology teacher!! Shout out Trendy Sciene Teacher on Instagram for making Valentine's day and test day a little brighter!
We made biology christmas ornaments this year and I'm obsessed with them 😍🤓 look at that Santa cell transport! These kiddos crushed it!

Last week, students made analogy posters to compare protein synthesis to another process of making something. Some compared it to making a touchdown, making a cake, or making a call to mom to pick up some lunch 😂 #RobinsonISD
I loved this story that @eckertjon shared. Perfect for listening to while I got ready this morning to change the world!

This week we made stop motion videos to show the process of cell division. Look how creative these kiddos are 🤩 #RobinsonISD
You know when you have a week of lessons not landing and then you finally have a good one?! Today we practiced identifying cells in phases of mitosis, then did stations with microviewers and reading STEMscopes! All while purposefully monitoring! #RobinsonISD

Trying to make @wilthomas3 and @funwithfielding proud! This unit's choices are all working in @STEMscopes or working with @AdobeForEdu. I'm not quite where I want to be with either of these programs, but I'm working on getting better! #RobinsonISD
