Children shot in the head and chest. Starving patients with gunshot wounds. Medical equipment removed from dead bodies and reused. After three humanitarian missions to Palestine’s Gaza in April 2024, November 2024 and August 2025, US orthopaedic surgeon Mohammed Adeel Khaleel recounts the horrors he witnessed while treating Palestinians amid Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza. From devastating injuries to starvation and hospitals stripped of basic supplies, Khaleel describes a healthcare system systematically pushed towards collapse. He testifies that Israel is destroying Gaza’s hospitals and asserts that what he witnessed amounts to genocide

2/ I went with another question in mind. How can people who have inherited the memory of the Holocaust find so many ways to justify committing atrocities against another people? How can someone who has inherited the memory of being a victim come to defend the actions of those who inflict suffering? Do they ever truly feel remorse? Do they understand what they have done? Are they ashamed when they speak of it? And if I were to meet one of them someday, would he dare to look me in the eyes? How do they sleep at night? How does a person silence his conscience so completely? And this, to me, is why the film matters. The world has heard Palestinian testimonies for a long time. I myself have spent much of this war telling people what I witnessed. But this time, we are listening to people who were part of the military system itself. They speak about their decisions, their actions, and the way they regarded our lives and our deaths. That is why I disagree with those who criticize the film for giving more space to Israeli voices than Palestinian ones. I do not need an Israeli soldier to tell me that what I lived through was real. I know it was real. I was there. But I want to hear how he explains what he did. I want to understand how he manages to justify it to himself. The testimony of the perpetrator does not become more important than that of the victim simply because it comes from him. But it can reveal something the victim could never have seen: what was happening on the other side while we were trying to stay alive.

“Truly, how long? How long will they continue to kill us? Has our blood become the only one sufficient to satisfy their desires, and has our blood grown cheap to this world?” #Gaza #Genocide
I walk down the road not knowing my destination, the shelling intensifies violently everywhere, as if I am swinging between despair and despair. I don't care about my life, or perhaps I find myself more logical—no one knows where the next missile will fall. Several questions creep into my thoughts, headed by this cynical, wretched question: How long? I ask it only to myself, and when I am among my friends, I am ashamed to voice it. Perhaps one of them would slap me and tell me to shut up, perhaps another would shoot me a sharp look and silence me, and another would laugh out loud. Truly, how long? How long will they continue to kill us? Has our blood become the only one sufficient to satisfy their desires, and has our blood grown cheap to this world? And have we ourselves grown accustomed to the color of roads paved with blood? I don't know, truly I don't know my state. Birds build their nests twice a year, and I am in this circle alone, kneeling like a curse upon my bare chest. How long?

Here, Israel has destroyed every sports field, leaving not a single one standing. So the children have turned the rubble of destroyed homes into their own volleyball court. Children here love life, yet the darkness continues to rob them of it. Gaza | 2026.

Israel has said that paper kites flown by Palestinian children will be treated as weapons of war. Read that again. This is the reality of genocide: the total destruction of innocence, freedom and joy. End all military cooperation with Israel, now.

I’m truly devastated by this story. How is this not making headlines today? Four-year-old Osama Ahmed Abed died from injuries he sustained on August 23, 2026, when Israel struck the town of al-Zawayda in the central Gaza Strip. I just watched an interview with his aunt, recorded a week ago. She said Osama’s father had been killed in an Israeli strike a year earlier. She was still hoping someone could save Osama’s life after a piece of shrapnel pierced his head. I cannot fathom this. Osama was barely one year old when Israel began its genocide in Gaza in 2023. He never got to experience a single beautiful day in his short life. And the media cannot even bring itself to say his name or show his face. It didn’t even report on him when he was injured. I took screenshots to show his face before he was injured.

Get used to being hated. Fascists are always hated. Then get used to being stopped. That’s coming next. Zionism will be dismantled. Have a nice flight.

My family is going through an incredibly difficult time that words simply cannot describe. In moments like this, we realize we cannot walk this path alone. I am reaching out to ask for your kindness and support. Please, if you are able, donate to our campaign and share it with others. Every single contribution brings us hope.
I am currently supporting 22 members of my family. For a very long time, I haven’t asked for help; instead, I was trying to support many other families by sharing their campaigns on my page. But now, I am the one in need of help, as our circumstances are becoming increasingly difficult. I full-heartedly hope that you will support me and my family. Please, donate and share the campaign. chuffed.org/project/help-oma…

A year has passed since Palestinian journalist Saleh Aljafarawi was killed in Gaza City, just days after a "ceasefire" agreement between Israel and Hamas. His death remains a reminder of the violence endured by journalists reporting from Gaza. More on Aljazeera.com
