I’m in my 6th year teaching 5th grade in the NW suburbs of Chicago. I have a wonderful group of students this year who are eager to learn! Please help me provide books and supplies for my fifth graders! #clearthelist

We love crafting and reading with our 5th Grade Buddies! 📚 😊 @MsSlonke #euclidexplores ##rtsd26lifeready
Yesterday was such a happy day! During morning meeting, we worked together to spell out a secret message: Ms. Slonke is getting married! Their cheers of joy and smiles are definitely something I’ll never forget! @EuclidSchool
It was a busy week in fifth grade! We practiced multiplying multi-digit numbers by playing a math game, met our new first grade buddies from @EuclidCheung, and brought in items from home that we used to give us writing inspiration! @EuclidSchool
Thanks to @FirstBook, First Book Champions, and @EnaJones for helping with our first Free Book Friday of the school year!
If you are an author, illustrator, or book lover that would like to help with books, bookmarks, or other bookish things for my fifth graders, let me know!

Every minute students spend reading outside of school matters.
Reminder: September is #LibraryCardSignUpMonth 🎗️
Fifth graders have been working on their visualization, listening, and art skills during writing while reading Come On, Rain! We’ve got some talented artists in our class! @EuclidSchool
Teacher friends: If you have not yet signed up for @FirstBookMarket, now is a perfect time to do so! Most books in my classroom are from @FirstBook and I have given away books and 4 pound boxes of Legos to them. Let me know if you have any questions!

Calling all Euclid 3rd, 4th & 5th graders: Come sing with me on Saturday, August 24th! 🎶 Email me at [email protected] to sign up!
Spent the last two days hearing all about books from #kidlit authors! @dsantat and @bottomshelfbks were hilarious during their keynote, and @lorenlong’s inspiration for The Yellow Bus was fascinating. I got to bring so many books back for my fifth graders next month! @LITapalooza

Today was our Euclid's Got Talent Assembly! We loved seeing the amazing and creative talents our Eagles have. From performing music and dancing, to soccer tricks, making paper snowflakes and even naming the countries of the world, our students can really do it all!
Thank you @EuclidCheung for a fun craft! We ❤️ our buddies!
We had a busy week solving our own word problems, crafting with our reading buddies, and a special read aloud from @TataSteelLtd where each student got their own book to take home (thanks, @FirstBook)! #herewegrow @EuclidSchool
