Three thought provoking days in Vienna at the #iamaconference discussing streaming & the future of opera. Whilst some challenges are universal, it’s clear the UK’s world class classical music scene could slip into oblivion without continual advocacy. @ISM_music

NEW LETTER:
The chief conductors of *ALL* the European radio choirs are uniting against the planned closure of the @BBCSingers!
We urge those responsible @BBC to reconsider. This world-class choir must be at the centre of any new strategy for choral music.

Wonderful coverage @thetimes today of @SamEvansLondon and the YouTube video he compiled of choirs across the world singing in support #WeAreTheBBCSingers . Come on BBC. Do you really want to damage UK's soft power by axing @BBCSingers @ISM_music

Great piece @thetimes today by @JANUSZCZAK who calls out the cuts at the BBC as world class stupidity. His piece is well worth reading for what is going wrong at the BBC. #WeAreTheBBCSingers @ISM_music

The abolition of BBC Singers by BBC management is another own goal. 100 years of opportunity and excellence out of the window. Just terrible misjudgment with blather as cover. We need @GaryLineker and @GNev2 on this too!
