Reflecting on a great week, celebrating Pi! Special shout-out to “James MATHison”, “Thomas JefferSINE”, “George PIington” & “ALGEBrander HamilTANGENT” on their performance. Middle School is my favorite…and so is Pi Day 😍

Sad to be saying goodbye to a classmate before a family move, but happy to celebrate him with a (origami) ballon party! A good reminder that relationships are what it’s all about! 💙💛🐝🎈

So much learning, listening, excitement, pondering, collaborating and appreciation. Grateful to be a part of this team that loves kids, equity and learning. #EdLeader21Network #10yearpin

In HS, I had a math teacher that inspired me to become one. He was fun, explained math clearly & built connections. I ended up babysitting his 4 daughters. 20 years later, I teach in a classroom next to one & another came to speak. ❤️ special moments that make the 🌎 feel small!

Pi Day never disappoints! Creativity at its finest! We had pictures, poems, songs, jewelry and LOTS of yummy food! So grateful to get to celebrate with current students while reminiscing with previous ones. A great reminder that middle schoolers and math are just the best! #yum

Since I couldn’t be there to participate in person, I made sure to bring my own cheer squad along on family vacation:) Pi’s dimensions are a little off but I got the distance correct😉 Wishing Saline XC a great season! 🐝 #salinesummerfest5k2021

Sometimes a normal day turns extraordinary! Today the coolest piece of furniture EVER got delivered by a talented woodworker and mathematician! Such a special surprise and it was immediately adorned w/ pi paraphernalia. You can find me here gazing at it for the next few decades!

So happy to be celebrating Pythagorean Theorem Day: 12-16-20! Great way to combine 2 of my favorite things...math & cheese 😉! And thank you to a punny-parent for suggesting it be called a “Reik-triangle” at conferences... #iagree

Need to work on tighter turns, but it was this or the pi symbol. And that would have required me to run an extra 3-hundredths of a mile 😉! And don’t be fooled...only one of us completed the run! Happy to support @SalineArea and all their good work! #salinesummerfest5k2020

Not the feelings I wanted when physically closing the door on the classroom for the last time this year ☹️, but started tearing up from reading the responses on the “Memories Form”. Keep em coming! Can’t wait to share w students next week! Do you remember your 1st day motion?! 😉
