What makes a good SCARY story? My 6th grade besties can definitely tell you! We even practiced our “Dillard Way” notes in the Library. Happy Spooky October 📝😱 @DDMMSDragons #dragonsread
Thursday friends enjoyed kicking off the fall season today by reading “Pumpkin Jack” and making predictions of what would happen as the seasons passed 🎃🧡💚 @DDMMSDragons #dragonsread

Today was a GREAT day! Congratulations to our 8th graders who are moving on to high school. We loved spending the morning watching kids writing messages and cheering on each other. We call ourselves a family at Dillard and today, you can see examples of why.💙🎉🐲💛
Mission to MARS lesson with 6th grade science, intergalactic Outfit and the Space Mountain soundtrack ✨🪐☄️🚀 Today was out of this world! Being a librarian Ms.Frizzle is the best! #luckylibrarian @DDMMSDragons
My Thursday friends and I love this book “Alone.” Such a cute book about the solar system and friendship 🌍✨ #dragonsread #storytime #luckylibrarian
This week in the library, I love sharing “How to Read a Book” by @kwamealexander to my 6th grade friends in honor of National Poetry Month. You are never too old for a good picture book, not to mention the artwork is amazing 🤩❤️📖 @DDMMSDragons #dragonsread #NationalPoetryMonth
Such a ☀️ day for an AVID field trip. We loved exploring NC A&T and UNCG 🙂 #fieldtrips #luckylibrarian

Elf on the Shelf with The Supremes welcoming @DDMMSDragons students this morning! 🎶💙💛🐲🌍
My favorite maker activity with 6th grade this time of year are plastic cup trinkets/ornaments. I adore seeing kids creativity….even if I do end up melting, punching holes and adding string for about a million of them 🤪🤣❤️ #lovethekiddos #librarylife
It’s always so cool to see what the kiddos build! These were made during today’s 6th grade Winter Wonderland stations in the library. I spy some Medieval influences 📖❤️🏰 #librarylife #creativity
