So another day, another article about the lack of working class folk in the arts.
Another call for outreach and mentorship
Well I say FUCK THAT
There is no aspiration gap
There is no need to show WC people what’s ‘possible’
There is simply a practicality gap
A money gap

Winter is dark enough...
With a desperate shortage of housing for people in crisis in Edinburgh, and even emergency accommodation in hotels and B&B’s hard to come by, people like Claire face impossible choices. Where would you go?

Inspiring campaign for justice by Neil Berriman who's mum Sandra Rivett was brutally murdered 50 years ago. So many perpetrators of violent crimes against women evade justice. I hope Neil's tenacity & work pay off!

Culture Funding Crisis, Scotland:
This goes some way to show the level of stress Creative Scotland’s decision to close Open Project Funding for Individuals caused. Six months of work crammed into eleven days.
Now being paid for in burn out, by people who can’t afford to rest.
Really enjoyed writing and directing Bobbie and hoping to develop it further.
Did you see it? If so, would love to hear your feedback!

Currently writing & directing:
Bobbie is a new interactive outdoor show. It explores the history of the police boxes & the changing relationship between the police & community, through the experience of a WPC locking up the box for the last time in 1983 after 30 years of service

I'm making a new play that will be set and performed at the police box on Leith Walk. Please use this link to share your stories and memories about the old police boxes to help me with my research. Thank you!
Do you remember Leith Walk Police Box when it was in use as a police box in the 30s-70s? We are planning to bring it back to life in a new short play
We would love to hear your memories and stories about police boxes.
