#coachbetter Challenge Day 5: In my first two years of coaching, I had a coach, and what I appreciated most about her were her thoughtful questions, purposeful pauses and some of the resources & protocols she introduced me to for examining my work & impact.

#coachbetter Challenge Day 4: As a coach, I use clear and consistent communication as well as supporting documents like a coaching vision statement, coaching menu and coaching cycle overview to help colleagues understand my role.

#coachbetter Challenge Day 3: As a coach, to build relationships w/ teachers I haven't worked w/ before, I try to find an opportunity to learn w/ them at PD or another mtg, and I take that opportunity to actively listen, filing away details I can harken back to at a later date.

#coachbetter Challenge Day 2: As a coach, Clarity around short and long-term goals for coaching and coaches has been essential and is an ongoing process. Participating in @edurolearning's The Coach program was foundational for work around Clarity to happen in my district.

#coachbetter challenge Day 1: As a teacher, I loved having coaches co-teach w/ me & model new strategies. I also loved planning collaboratively w/ a coach. As a coach, continually building relationships & being visible by being around have been key to getting into classrooms.
