9th graders “speed dated” with some of our favorite independent reading books. They rated each book out of 5 ⭐️s after we explained why we enjoyed reading them. Lots of creative rating systems & excited readers in our class! @MsTrotter3 📚 @WTCRams @emeadowschools @frank_lukasik

This week we welcomed back the 9th and 12th graders! It’s been so nice to see some smiling (masked) faces in these decorated hallways! Thanks to the freshmen volunteers for helping out and to Mr. Manzella for the awesome idea to decorate the hallway
We couldn’t have done it without the help of @MsTrotter3 amazing internship class! @WTCRams @emeadowschools @frank_lukasik
Book love is in the air at Clarke High School! Students wrote their favorite books or authors on hearts to celebrate our love for reading! ❤️📚@WTCRams @frank_lukasik @emeadowschools

Wrapped up our unit on stories from “The Moth” with “Unusual Normality” by @IshmaelBeah. Collaboration looks different these days, but Jamboard is the perfect tool to close read & annotate as a group. So many great ideas & connections made @MsTrotter3 @frank_lukasik @WTCRams
September has been busy, so @MsTrotter3 & I have a smaller stack than usual BUT we took our book stack photo together for the first time since February! Excited to kick off October with independent reading in 9th grade! 📚@WTCRams @frank_lukasik @emeadowschools
We start every year by reading Howard White’s “Power of Hello” essay and discussing how important it is to greet each other 👋🏼 We got to know our 9th graders by seeing what words they think are powerful using @Mentimeter @MsTrotter3
And a special shoutout to the greatest class officers! They made my job as advisor so easy and so much fun❤️ @WTCRams @emeadowschools
