I’m scrolling right past every pic and video of Brandy in that braided wig like it never happened cause I refuse to let that be part of her legacy 🧑🏾‍🦯‍➡️

Mya sounds so fucking good singing WNR! Man. Her voice fit like a glove on Aaliyah’s songs. And I honestly never thought about how similar they are till now. This song is so underrated. It sounds immaculate live!

I am BEGGING the internet to stop showing me 5-9 morning routines where someone drinks structured water, journals for an hour, and does ice plunges before sunrise. My morning routine is hitting snooze until the fear of homelessness physically drags me out of bed.

My mother had a stroke nearly 20 years ago (her 40s), and it was induced by high blood pressure/stress. She’s never drank or smoked in her life. There’s a book called The Body Keeps the Score that is definitely worth reading too.
What is up with all these folks my age having strokes? Seems like strokes in our forties was almost unheard of 20, 25 years ago. This is so scary. Getting my next physical soon.

Black parents at large DO NOT place a high emphasis on high academic performance. The evidence is shown in test scores around the country. If you want your black child to achieve academically. You have to put them around the children of parents who take academics seriously
I grew up in a predominantly black community in Atlanta from elementary-high school where doctors, lawyers, business executives, teachers, nurses flooded the community. hell, even the mayor lived up the street. so call me naive but I don’t understand the logic of sending —

Best believe your competition and people who want your spot would use every ounce of your privileges if they could.
You’re supposed to use every unfair advantage you have. Connections, looks; money, all of it. You're not noble by picking the hardest path just to look like an underdog.
