One of our plants have germinated! Hopefully we see more germination in the next few days. @GrowBeyondEarth @mars
Trial 2 ended early due to an unexpected snowstorm that closed school for a week. So today we set up our experiment for Trial 3! @GrowBeyondEarth @mars
We already have germination! The kids love naming the plants something different for each trial @GrowBeyondEarth @getMARSfarm @BerkCoSchoolsWV
Our Growing Beyond Earth team is at it again! We had to wait so long to start trial two because we got a late start on trial one, but they're ready and so am I! @GrowBeyondEarth @getMARSfarm @JacobIkaros @berk
We finished trial one and are planning to start trial 2 after Christmas break. It was a sad but very fun day.. They decided we needed to create a murder scene 😂🌱 @GrowBeyondEarth @getMARSfarm @JacobIkaros
I always forget to post on X. Our experiment is going so well! We will finish our first trial this week. 🌱 @GrowBeyondEarth @FairchildGarden @getMARSfarm @mhsbu
Week 1 is in the books! Today they measured height, width and depth, thinned the pots, and made averages! 🌱😊🐾🧡🖤

This week starts year 2 with Growing Beyond Earth! I'm so excited and so are my new students. They even got the obligatory selfies 😊🌱🖤🧡

We weren't ready for this to end. 😢 Until next year. @GrowBeyondEarth @getMARSfarm @NASAKennedy @JacobIkaros
I can't believe our @GrowBeyondEarth experiment is officially over for the year. The kids weren't ready for it to end. @KatieLynnLong made us cinnamon basil cookies again! Space cookies are the best! @getMARSfarm @JacobIkaros @NASAKennedy
I've been slacking with sharing the progress of our space plants. 🌱
They're looking great! The main scientists are busy at work analyzing data and preparing to present at the symposium for a panel of NASA judges in April!

We have seedlings! Our internet has been down at school for 2 weeks, so the kids haven't been able to send me pictures. I finally had to take some of my own which requires one of me in the reflection of the grow chamber! @GrowBeyondEarth @getMARSfarm @BerkCoSchoolsWV
Just had the best day! Someone dropped this off at my school for the kids and me because he saw we were working with @GrowBeyondEarth @getMARSfarm @NASAKennedy. There are mission patches from the 80s!
Trial 2 is in full swing! Here's to another 7 weeks of civilian science work! The kids chose to increase the intensity of the red light after doing a deep dive into their effects on plant growth 🌱@JacobIkaros @GrowBeyondEarth @getMARSfarm @FairchildGarden @BerkCoSchoolsWV
It's always a bitter sweet day when we finish with a topic and I let the students erase my drawings from the board

Here are my CAD drawings for a 3D printed Veggie Pillow. You can print it out and grow Red Robin tomatoes 🍅 along with Veg-05 and @plantsinspace. You can be a space farmer too!! 🚀🍅 🤩#veg05 @GrowBeyondEarth 1drv.ms/f/s!Apd4AFcNZEUkg70O… – at Cape Canaveral, FL
We're only 6 days away from break, so we're completing my yearly fetal pig autopsy and reviewing levels of organization with a breakout box Mrs. Deaver's helped set up. The febreeze KJ brought has been helpful with this week long dissection. 😂@BerkCoSchoolsWV @nmsteachers
The students had the opportunity to eat the space basil in cookie form! Thanks to our FACS teacher and her 8th graders. @GrowBeyondEarth
