Kevin Reddington is the subject of a formal Petition for Discipline filed by Massachusetts Bar Counsel with the Board of Bar Overseers, dated June 23, 2026. 📋 The filing contains multiple separate allegations of professional misconduct. Important: these are allegations contained in a disciplinary petition. They are NOT final findings of misconduct, and I am not independently asserting that every allegation has been proven. Here are the most serious details alleged in the filing: COUNT I — IOLTA / TRUST ACCOUNT Bar Counsel alleges Reddington delegated bookkeeping and recordkeeping for his IOLTA client trust account to a paralegal, but failed to adequately train and supervise that person and failed to maintain required trust-account records. COUNT II — $3,000 IN CLIENT FUNDS A client identified as “TC” paid Reddington $18,000 — $15,000 for a flat legal fee and $3,000 for an anticipated forensic evaluation. According to the petition, the remaining $3,000 constituted client funds being held for TC. Bar Counsel alleges Reddington later issued a $3,000 check from the IOLTA account to another attorney for legal services performed on behalf of a different client, Jasiel Correia II. COUNT III — JOSE POLANCO The petition states that Polanco retained Reddington in 2017 for a $25,000 flat fee, plus expenses, to pursue post-conviction relief. Bar Counsel alleges Reddington: • repeatedly told Polanco he would visit him in prison but never did during the representation • failed to make sufficient progress on the case • was not sufficiently responsive • made a “false, deceptive and/or misleading representation” concerning entering his appearance in the matter • failed to timely conduct sufficient factual investigation and legal research • failed to sufficiently pursue Polanco’s claims • filed work containing incorrect or missing case citations and unsigned affidavits • failed to control his workload so the matter could be handled competently The petition also states that during portions of 2017 through 2023, Reddington had approximately 100–150 active criminal cases at a time. COUNT IV — JASIEL CORREIA II The petition states Reddington orally agreed to represent Correia in federal court for a $150,000 flat fee plus expenses. According to Bar Counsel, Correia had already paid at least $115,000 toward that agreed $150,000 fee and at least $3,000 in investigator expenses when Reddington allegedly sought to change the agreement. Less than one month before jury selection, Bar Counsel alleges Reddington demanded: • an additional $50,000 to continue representing Correia • a 20% ownership interest in Correia’s SnoOwl business to continue representing him The petition asks the Board of Bar Overseers to hear the matter, determine whether discipline is warranted, and file information concerning the matter with the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court.
