It's time for my favorite nonfiction read-aloud of the year! 3rd grade read a positive biography of Anne Carroll Moore last week, and now we'll read the one in which she's the villain.
It's a great lesson in why it's important to use multiple sources when conducting research.
Some of our 1st grade STEAM Challenge rock stars built a "skeleton bridge" using only tape and q-tips that held 17 rocks!

Can you guess my Book Character Day costume from the (actual real prescription) glasses I ordered for it?
Had no choice but to buy these socks in a museum gift shop yesterday. They're perfect @APS_VHE colors!
Ran into one VHE family in the security line at the airport and I'm on a flight with 2 others. Must be Fall Break!
Is there a better feeling than a book you love getting a sequel?
In related news, Miss Camper by @katfcomix coming in June!!!
Recognize a lot of those excited faces!
The @APSHoward computer science class is out of this world! 馃殌馃 They've been coding and building their own battle bots. The level of skill and excitement in the room is electric! 鈿★笍@APSInstructTech @mrsjones2142
Skeleton bridges off to a great start!

About to teach 1st graders how to use tape dispensers without pulling off pieces of tape longer than their arms.
Wish me luck.
Shoutout to our amazing @APS_VHE readers for logging 100,000 minutes on @zoobeanreads so far this year! #APSRace2Read
2nd grade is building 3D models of towns, and each class has such a unique approach. One class has a roller coaster, one is all skyscrapers, one is mostly a pool and trees, and one class is designing their buildings to have solar panels.
Things I have gathered/purchased for STEAM challenges this year, but it gets weirder: Q-tips, pipe cleaners, skewers, Keva planks, plastic cups, rocks, fake cockroaches.

Fingers and toes crossed that my library system on Libby adds children's books for the first time in 3 weeks today. I am withering away with no new reading material.
