A Cape Town workshop is planned for 17 November, with an online webinar to follow. Details coming soon.
Proud to have managed this project on behalf of the funder group which @ZenexF is part of.
The Minister of Basic Education, Ms Siviwe Gwarube, will today launch the Funda Uphumelele National Survey (FUNS) at the Department of Basic Education, a landmark initiative providing South Africa’s first comprehensive overview of early grade reading outcomes across all 11 official languages.
The survey represents a major step forward in understanding how children learn to read; it enables the Department to strengthen support where it matters most, in the foundation phase.

“Queen Esther … persuaded Ahasuerus of Haman's iniquity … Not to waste a perfectly good cross, or perhaps because he was confused by the number of people who were making up his mind for him, Ahasuerus had Haman crucified in Mordecai's place.”
