My AH Physics pupils were putting their research and presentation skills to the test last week. I asked them to try and be as creative as possible and they did not disappoint 😊.

Thank you very much much to our amazing Young STEM Leaders for attending the S4 information evening. They were passing on their own experiences of the most effective ways to study for Science subjects. Well done all involved.

This evening I had the pleasure of seeing some of our S6 pupils receive their SL7 award for the amazing work they did during their summer research placements.All showed such talent and ambition.I loved hearing about the amazing work they had been involved in.Well done all.

Some of our S6 pupils had the amazing opportunity to attend a @RegenBrainery event. They heard from a range of sectors and how they come together to complete projects. They then got to network with a wide range of employers and meet pupils from other schools. Fantastic day ⭐️

Some of our S2 pupils had an amazing day yesterday discovering all about chemical engineering and the skills required to do this. They all engaged, presented and showed off the wealth of talent that they currently have. Thank you to @Ed_Acad_Scot and @SmartSTEMs for coming along

Some of our S3 girls attended Caledonian University’s Stemettes event on Friday. This gave them the opportunity to work with pupils from other schools, develop their knowledge of careers and build their own eco-park. Thanks to @CaledonianNews for having us.

We are currently planning our Careers Fair which will run on Wednesday 21st October from 10:30-14:45 for senior pupils and 15:00-16:30 for parents and lower school. If any employers, businesses or former pupils would like to be involved please get in touch for more info.

It was our S6 pupils turn today to complete their YSL6 training. They all had a great session evaluating skills and qualities and the importance of these in leadership. There were great ideas on how they can inspire STEM engagement in our school community @YoungSTEMLeader

Some of our senior pupils were completing their YSL5 training today and are now on their way to starting their leadership roles within the school. Watch this space for some of the amazing STEM opportunities that they will be offering, Well done all @YoungSTEMLeader

So pleased to be presented with my Leadership in STEM Education award. This was the result of a year long course finishing with our final CCPE presentations today. I have learned and grown so much this year through so much hard work and with such an amazing team @SSERCofficial

Alison Ward from @WSP_UKI came into visit some of our future female engineers today to discuss all things engineering and the different career pathways to get there. Thank you so much for the insight into the company and all the amazing things you do.

Today we attended the @Ed_Acad_Scot summer showcase to share our STEM change project. It was great hearing all the amazing things that have been happening from all ages and levels. Well done to all involved. Poor Mrs MacAulay was sadly sick so was with us in spirit.

Our S6 and S5 pupils had Chris from @PathwayCTM along to discuss education/career pathways and the support that he and his team can offer in this. Thank you for all the information and we look forward to developing this further in the future.

Thank you @CaledonianNews GCU for having us along to the Tech and STEM fest today. We loved getting a taster of some of the different courses and career pathways. The overhead electric train lines made of sweeties had to be my favourite 😀

Thank you to Kat Culyer at Eko STEM and @STEMAZING1 for showing our S2 pupils how STEM is in everything we do. The pupils did amazing and we loved how creative they were with their theme park ride designs. So much imagination on display today! ⭐️

Great day at the Leidos STEM Challenge. Our pupils showcased their project on their newly discovered planet caprica and how they would set up a home base there. Well done to all the schools involved and the amazing work they have done @SSERCofficial @leidos
