Like shit. Back when I was broke and was drowning in debt, while I was paying my bills all I ever did was tell myself & affirm that “I always get paid to exist” and “Every dollar I spend always comes back to me tenfold.” I literally told myself everyday that I have more than enough money and that I never run out of money. Even when I was anxious, didn’t believe a single word I was saying, and at some points was crying my eyes out. None of that mattered though. I still kept affirming and now, I haven’t had to worry about money in over three years and I’m completely debt free.

Any screenplay with a relationship at the center has a big structural decision to make. Make it early, and breaking your story becomes significantly easier.
It's the decision of when the characters become a team/couple.
- Rom-com template is often at the end.
- Buddy movies before the third act.
- Love stories before the midpoint.
Your genre does not dictate this. Your story does. For example, a romantic comedy does not have to operate this way. It's just a frame of reference for how these stories are traditionally told.
So worry less about the genre and more about the story you want to tell.
Is that third act more about how they get together, or is it about how they became a team and now they get to solve their problem as one?
Once you make this choice, the rest of your structure becomes much clearer because now you know what you're working towards and when.
Big decisions up front mean all the subsequent decisions get easier and easier.

my favorite part of the bible is when jesus, instead of telling women how to dress, tells men to gouge out their eyes and cut off their hands if they’re not capable of controlling themselves.

In the spring of 1979, on the grounds of the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, Jane Seymour and Christopher Reeve were filming a story about a man who wills himself across decades for a love he has only seen in a photograph.
Off camera, something quieter and more immediate was happening between them. Both were single. They kept it private from most of the cast and crew, but a few people noticed. Seymour later said the affection visible on screen was not entirely invented.
For a stretch of weeks the two of them were, in her words, madly in love.
Then, on the day they were scheduled to shoot one of the film’s most intimate sequences—the one in which their characters finally connect and then lose each other—Reeve received word that his former partner, Gae Exton, was pregnant.
He told Seymour before the cameras rolled. She had to walk into the scene knowing the relationship was ending and still play a woman overtaken by happiness. She has described the effort of holding back tears that were already rising, repeating to herself that her character was happy even as the news settled.
By the time the day ended, the romance was over. Reeve returned to Exton; their son Matthew was born later that year.
What did not end was the friendship. Over the next twenty-five years they stayed in touch. Seymour named one of her sons Kristopher after him. When Reeve was paralyzed in a riding accident in 1995, the connection held. She remained close to him and to his wife, Dana.
At times the two women effectively alternated so that Dana could step away; Seymour has spoken of “tag-teaming” the practical and emotional labor of those years. Reeve’s humor, she has said, never left him.
He continued to talk about the mornings when he woke from dreams of sailing or flying alone and found himself surrounded by machines and caregivers instead.
Reeve died in 2004 at fifty-two.
Dana followed two years later. In later interviews Seymour has returned to the same point: she does not primarily remember him as the actor who played Superman, or even as the brief lover from the set of Somewhere in Time.
She remembers him as one of her closest friends—the person with whom something real had begun under the cover of a movie about impossible timing, and who remained part of her life long after the timing of their own romance had run out.
The film ends with two people separated by decades who still find each other. In the ordinary years that followed the shoot, Seymour and Reeve managed a quieter version of that persistence. 🌹

A 30 percent vitamin C solution dissolved in DMSO cleared 86 percent of basal cell skin cancer lesions within eight weeks in a clinical trial. In a randomized study published in Biomedicine & Pharmacotherapy, researchers tested a topical mix of high-concentration ascorbic acid and dimethyl sulfoxide, a solvent that helps substances penetrate deeply into the skin.
Applied twice daily for eight weeks, the combination produced complete clearance in 13 of 15 lesions (86.7 percent) among patients with low-risk basal cell carcinoma. This rate exceeded that of the standard topical treatment imiquimod, which cleared 8 of 14 lesions (57.1 percent). The vitamin C–DMSO formulation also caused fewer side effects and avoided the lasting skin hypopigmentation sometimes seen with conventional topical therapies.
Because basal cell carcinoma is the most common form of skin cancer worldwide, these early results suggest a possible low-cost, non-invasive option. Larger trials are still required before the approach can be adopted as standard care.
