Trust; nobody wants schools open more than I do. Nobody.
Also trust; anyone willing to sacrifice 15k of our children, & even more of the adults who care for them, while threatening to take their money, should not have a say in that choice.
You can tell @BetsyDeVosED I said it.

Excited to announce my book is up on amazon for pre-order. Hard to wrap my mind around being finished. It has been a hard year full of family sacrifice and it is finally here.

3 Lessons I Wish Kids Learned in School:
💡Surround yourself with people who see your greatness.
💡Don’t compare yourself to others. It steals your joy.
💡Life is a gift. Wake up each morning with gratitude in your heart.

Teachers:
Those aren’t just my children who arrived in your class today. They are my hope for our future. They are the living legacy of my family’s past. They are a piece of me. See them. Love them. Give them what they need. Even when it’s difficult. Thank you for all you do.

As a teacher, my 1st question in planning a lesson isn't "What tech/app should I use?" My 1st question is "What do I want my students to walk out of my class knowing today?". Somedays a computer advances me to that goal, and other days it's paper and pencil.

@HSDBOLD A1: I do agree. Even as young as my 4th graders, students struggle to be able to focus during instruction. They need the option of seeing an example many times, sometimes because they are distracted, but also because they aren't "getting it."
