This morning in English, we adapted a @TeachActive style lesson to help with our tenses. Then, we sorted quotes from Matilda. We had to choose which character we thought they were about and how the author created feelings of dislike or sympathy. @simonsideschool

This afternoon, we investigated how the human digestive system works. It was disgusting but fun and the children were able to explain how the different parts of the body help to digest food. @simonsideschool

For history, we are learning about Ancient Greece. For our Athens vs Sparta lesson we used @nowpressplay to learn about the different city states. @simonsideschool The children then had to decide which they would choose to live in and why.

On Friday the children had a brilliant morning designing their own theatre with @Ryder1953. They worked amazingly in their groups and thought of some ingenious ideas. There may be some future architects in year 4! @MrsPegman @simonsideschool

In history, we created double page information texts to answer the question: What buildings did the Romans build and for what purposes? @simonsideschool @MrsPegman

Before half term, Year 4 studied Gaudi and his artwork with @MrsPegman. They used this as inspiration to design their own nature inspired clay pot. Last week they were able to bring their designs to life and have really out-done themselves.We are so proud Year 4! @simonsideschool

This morning year 2 made pizzas for fairies, leaf mobiles and bracelets. They had a busy morning and @ScoutedSam said that they were amazing! @simonsideschool @MrsLoweSside
