So fortunate to be joined at @WVCTMnews by some of the best LIT members. Proud to be math royalty @m3t. Happy to share our learning today about what we learned when things didn’t work as planned.

Grateful for @m3t for giving me an opportunity to present with @Ms_JBK , @schwingaling , and @mp_campbell at #AMTE2023. Sharing our work is energizing and my head is buzzing with new ideas, and I’m in evolving how I see myself in teacher leadership.

Videoing your class is awkward, but hearing some of the conversations between students that I didn’t hear during class is making me so proud.

Todays @m3t_wv LIT meeting was awesome. Who doesn’t want a PD where you start out with fake conspiracies and end with identifying your common bug.

Spent my evening becoming obsessed with all things area models. Multiplication, factoring, polynomial division. Thanks teacher Twitter for that wormhole.

Today my husband and I had to cut vex pieces for our first robotics lab since they don’t sell the required pieces outside of the kit. Feeling accomplished. #learnwiththem

Professional bios should be like a mad lib. Just insert a hobby, region, etc, into the blank. Then you’re done. They’d all look the same but would be way easier to write.

Virtual trainings are not the same without @mp_campbell sweet tunes.

Dude 🤯I think it would help to think about expansion of place values here but how stinking cool.

Showed Y7 this alternative method for subtraction which doesn't require exchanges. Never fails to blow their minds. What are your go-to alternative methods?

Empowered. Connected. Motivated. Inspired. Eager. Rejuvenated. Grateful. Some of the final words spoken by M3T Fellows as we reflected at the close of the 2022 Summer Institute. Thanks for a great week & for all you do—together—to make math education stronger across West Virginia

I was privileged to greet the master math teachers who were in Morgantown to develop strategies to improve math teaching in West Virginia. So necessary!

2/2 …in this group I don’t have to prove my opinion is valuable. And it’s cool to talk about math. The people and doing math together. I learned to be outgoing. I learned to lead. Feeling so full ♥️. #iteachmath #mtbos #goodpd
