Hattie says: "Feedback should be just in time, just for them, just for where they are in their learning, just what they need to move forward". ➜ With EdTech: Platforms like @quizizz, @TeamMindjoy or Reading Coach from @MicrosoftEdu offer instant, data-driven feedback, personalising the learning experience with actionable insights tailored to each student's needs, as per Hattie's suggestions above. ➜ Benefits: Streamlines the feedback process, ensuring it's timely, relevant, and conducive to fostering a proactive, growth-oriented mindset in students. 📘 Explanations ➜ Without EdTech: One-size-fits-all explanations may not cater to the diverse learning styles and paces within a classroom, potentially leaving some students behind. ➜ With EdTech: Tools like @Edpuzzle, PowerPoint/Keynote/Slides (when used well and not slides filled with text) and others, customise resources, helping to meet individual learning needs for deeper understanding and provide opportunities for adaptive learning. ➜ Benefits: Facilitates a more inclusive and effective learning environment, where each student’s understanding is prioritised and catered to. 🎨 Modelling ➜ Without EdTech: Traditional modelling can be limiting, often failing to fully encapsulate complex concepts or engage students effectively. ➜ With EdTech: Virtual simulations in platforms like @PhETsims, and @tinkercad transform abstract concepts into tangible, interactive learning experiences. ➜ Benefits: Enhances comprehension and retention by providing concrete examples which, without technology would be more difficult (and sometimes impossible) to share. 🧩 Pupil Practice ➜ Without EdTech: Practice opportunities can be generic and unengaging, lacking personalisation and real-time progress tracking. ➜ With EdTech: Adaptive platforms like @Tassomai and gamified experiences from @duolingo make practice individualised and engaging, with real-time feedback guiding improvement. ➜ Benefits: Ensures practice is meaningful and aligned with personal learning goals, boosting motivation and ensuring consistent progression.
