Thousands of trained educators: “We want to help! We have resources and ways of getting in touch with our students. We’re already using online learning platforms.” Government: “Nah, we got this. Here’s a half finished website with some ministry resources from 2009.” #OntEd

To those marking their first Nowruz without the loved ones lost on Flight 752, we are here for you. To everyone worried about COVID-19 and practicing social distancing, we will get through this together. And to all those celebrating Nowruz, happy New Year. pm.gc.ca/en/news/statements/…

Been homeschooling a 6-year old and 8-year old for one hour and 11 minutes. Teachers deserve to make a billion dollars a year. Or a week.

We cannot, on one day notice, set up an infrastructure to teach children over this three week period. We can't. Our students don't have reliable internet. This is not an option.

Sadly, @Sflecce rejected our offer to delay the #OSSTF strike in some boards tomorrow if the management team agreed to return to 2018/19 staffing levels for teachers & ed workers. Clearly this gov't wants to continue to erode the quality of education in Ontario. #onted #onpoli

At social gatherings this weekend strike up conversations by asking how much everyone makes & what benefits they get at work. Keep the discussion going by judging whether each person is worth that pay. Terrible idea? Yup, so stop doing it to teachers #onpoli #osstf #ETFO – at Williamsburg, FL

Sadly, the @Sflecce bargaining team chose not to meet with us in the days leading up to our strike deadline. Our one-day job action will occur. #OSSTF education workers & teachers will be back in schools Thursday, we remain ready to negotiate. #onted #onpoli

Why does @Sflecce keep bringing up the CUPE deal? With the utmost respect to CUPE workers, they did not have to fight to maintain class sizes or against forced eLearning. #onpoli #onted #OSSTF #NoCutsToEducation .

It’s disappointing that @Sflecce offered nothing to the parents, students, and education workers of Ontario tonight. We’ve been waiting for the last four days. We’re still here. #OSSTF #onted #onpoli #NoCutsToEducation #FairDealNow
