My dream job would be teaching half of the week and then curriculum planning the other half of the week. My absolute dream job. Someone make this a thing 🙏
Thoroughly enjoyed the @histassoc conference with Jonas yesterday! (Minus running to Primark in the final break because I hadn't packed enough spare outfits 🥴)
I just received a handwritten card from our doctors congratulating us on the birth of Jonas. What a lovely thing 🥰 #NHS
Gogglebox, but it's the entire traitors cast watching the whole episode every night. I would LOVE to see their reactions. 👀 #TraitorsUK

A free tuck shop for our students and pizza for our staff for all of their hard work during the Ofsted inspection earlier this week. A massive Team Sharples effort 💜
Starting the term more tired than when it ended is one symptom of getting 'The Call' on the first day back! 😵💫

We are absolutely delighted to be able to share that @SharplesSchool History department have been awarded the GOLD @histassoc Quality Mark! An absolutely fantastic achievement for our staff and students and we are so proud! 🙌🎉
It's official- we are GOLD!!! 🌟🌟
I am so grateful and so proud of my team for this award. It was a lot of work, but so worth it! What an experience 🙌 @SharplesHistory @histassoc
We're recruiting for my mat cover- 1 year contract from Feb half term. Please RT!! sharplesschool.co.uk/job-vac…
3 of the 4 GCSE units rewritten to fit with our new 2 year KS4. This one was a labour of labour rather than love 😂😂 Thanks to @missboardman_ for her input on this one!
I've been absent on here of late after very suddenly losing my Dad during the first week of this term. It's been an incredibly hard time for our family, but today we learned that we're having a baby boy in April and finally shared the news with his big brother and sister! 🌟
Preparing for our HA Quality Mark assessment has been a LOT of work, but it's so amazing to see everything we've done looking through all of our evidence! I've really enjoyed this process.

We’ve had a great day with the Class of 2024!
Here are some of the highlights…
I've been to the Bayeux Tapestry twice this week (🤓), and it's really annoyed me that the commentary tells us that this is Harold being shot in the eye and killed. Surely the public should be told the latest historiography?
When my Grandad landed on D-Day, he collected postcards and marked on them what had happened. We are visiting that exact area on holiday (totally by coincidence) and it's wonderful to be able to match them to their real locations! An emotional experience. #dday80
