St Ambrose Eco Group

Thanks to the lovely volunteers at @fomc2020 for all of their support in making this clean up happen. We were pleased to be able to help the canal environment, and hope that we can work together to reduce litter in the area @KSBScotland #ClimateEmergency #ClimateAction #LitterWar

Thanks to the seniors who helped clean up school grounds today! #litterpick #keepscotlandbeautiful

S1 were learning about the importance of trees in the Rainforest and around the world. As part of #NationalTreeWeek we planted lemon seeds in Bananas in the hope they’ll eventually grow into trees. The aim is the ethane released from the banana will germinate the lemon seeds!

S2 have been studying favelas in Brazil. They used recycled materials to create their own makeshift housing (with challenges along the way). The houses were then put together to create a favela. #brazil #development #recycling #favelas #geography

On Tuesday we participated in the NLC sustainability event, thanks to everyone who visited our stall and took the time to chat to us about our sustainability journey. #sustainability #actnow #climatechange

For #ScotClimateWeek we have made posters about the importance of recycling, participated in a @KSBScotland live lesson, completed a litter pick in the school grounds, and thought about solutions to deforestation. #ClimateAction #Recycling #MakingChanges

Litter picking with SAHS’s youngest eco warrior. Great way to start Scotland’s climate week. #scotclimateweek #ecoschools #keepscotlandbeautiful
