Remember when we learned that our wealthiest and most powerful people were connected to a guy who ran a literal child sex trafficking ring? And then that guy died mysteriously in a jail? And now we just don't talk about it.

Does Daniel Cameron think he’s running for president or does he think Joe Biden is running for governor of Kentucky? I can’t tell which, but he sure wants you to think he’s running against Joe Biden. 😂
I once ushered my students OUTSIDE for a tornado drill (like I would for a fire) instead of downstairs to an interior hallway as was expected. Lol. #dearintern
A3. I guess I’ll be advocating for a clerk until I retire. It really is unacceptable what elementary librarians in the specials rotation are supposed to accomplish solo. Like, absolutely wild. #kylchat
A 1.1, 2.1 Overwhelming good kids, a handful of especially supportive parents, and a principal who trusts me and respects my professional decisions. She’s retiring and I hate to see her go. #kylchat
A2. I’ve been loving incorporating more guided drawings after reading biographies and the kids enjoy them, too. I guide them but encourage creative tweaks…even the Ks blow me away with their work and how they make theirs unique! #kylchat
A1. I just wrapped up my first Read-A-Thon and I’m thrilled with its success. I think only forty or so students collected money, but it totaled $6,000 for new books! That’s a significant figure to me bc that’s what my budget was when I started before it was slashed. 📚💙 #kylchat
A2. I do the KBAs with primary kids during library class so they all read the nominees and vote, but for 3rd-5th I have a special shelf for the nominees, read one with the classes, have a special voting party for participants, and a few other things throughout the year. #kylchat
A1. Nine? I love the KBAs! We’re voting this week. #kylchat
A6. Remove emotions. Be a bit ruthless. Honor your instincts. I allow myself ONE exception: American Girls. Lol. #kylchat
A4. I keep some for projects such as the old Illustrated Classics for Harry Potter spell books. Many I offer to kids and teachers. Others: 🗑️ #kylchat
A3. Currently hosting a Read-A-Thon to replace the dated, worn books I read as a kid that are still on our shelves—literally the exact same books…and I’m over forty. So there’s that. Lol. #kylchat
A2. Rural, mostly white students from conservative Christian families so I have books that appeal to those demographics (ag, hunting, etc.), and then I offer lots of books about people/experiences not often seen here bc it’s so important to provide a larger worldview. #kylchat
