Pledges will be collected for rescue costs, if saved and will be used towards transport, vet fees, kennelling etc. Pledges so far: £151 ( 15 Oct 2026) Please do NOT pay to any other Paypal account and only AFTER the post is marked SAFE direct to: [email protected] paypal.me/ChristinaMBracken Info from dog pound: Vince • Male, Staffie x • 5ish years old • People Friendly • No reactivity seen to other dogs From kennels: When he was collected he had one of the worst flea infestations we have seen, he was literally crawling with them. Vince was so itchy he had made himself bleed from biting at himself. As you can see, with treatment he's now flea free and his coat is starting to look really good. He is unchipped, so no age on him but I would say 5+ but not old. Vince doesn't seem to have any dog issues from what we have seen. Vince is very vocal in kennels, to the point where he is making himself cough. We thought initially he had KC so he's been isolated for 3 weeks on treatment, no other dogs have come down with it so we think he is giving himself a sore throat from barking and it isn't KC. He needs to be taught some manners and that if he's quiet he will get a reward (he's food and treat orientated), and if he shouts he gets nothing. He was picking this up pretty quickly with me this morning, so he seems quite smart and trainable. Clean in his kennel and loves his food x In UK dog pound but transport can be arranged. Please note: THIS POUND WILL NOT RELEASE DOGS TO THE PUBLIC - A RESCUE HAS TO GIVE RBU Also please reach out to your local rescues to see if they can help. Urgent, please retweet ,URGENT FOSTER OR FOSTER WITH A VIEW TO ADOPT NEEDED FOR PEGGY 🐾❤️ Please help us find this special little girl her happy ending. She has just THREE WEEKS to find a home. Preferably in the #Doncaster or surrounding areas.🏡❤️ Meet gorgeous Peggy, a 6-year-old, three-legged Cavapoo who sadly needs a new home through no fault of her own. 💕 #UK 11 Oct 2026. Peggy’s much-loved owner is facing major surgery and a lengthy recovery, which unfortunately means she will no longer be able to care for her. It’s a heartbreaking situation, and we really want to make this transition as gentle as possible for them both. Peggy lost one of her legs following an injury as a puppy, but please don’t let that put you off! This clever little tripod manages beautifully on her three legs and gets around perfectly well in her own way. 🐾 Peggy is a very loving little girl, but she does have some insecurities and needs an understanding, experienced home where she can settle at her own pace. She loves being close to her person and can become anxious when left alone, sometimes crying or licking herself. She can also become a little overprotective or possessive of her favourite human and has occasionally growled in these situations. We want to be completely open about this so we can find Peggy the right home from the outset. She isn’t a bad dog, just a little girl who needs patience, reassurance, gentle boundaries and help learning to feel safe and secure. 🏡 PEGGY’S IDEAL HOME: 🐾 An experienced, patient owner, ideally familiar with nervous or insecure dogs. 🐾 A calm, quieter, adult-only home with no resident or visiting children. 🐾 No other dogs, cats or pets. 🐾 Someone home for most of the day who can gradually help her feel comfortable spending short periods alone. 🐾 Ideally a retired person or couple with plenty of time, love and understanding to offer. 🐾 A quieter, preferably countryside-type location where she can enjoy a couple of gentle walks each day. 🐾 A secure garden and a home where she can settle without pressure, in her own time. We will provide full support and guidance, including help from our qualified behaviourist, to work through Peggy’s insecurities and help her build confidence in her new surroundings. ❤️ Peggy is spayed, vaccinated and has been given a clean bill of health by her own vet. We will also arrange a full assessment with our rescue vet once a suitable foster home is found. We would particularly love to find someone willing to foster Peggy with a view to adopting her, giving everyone time to make sure it’s the right match and avoid having to move her again. However, a suitable foster home would also be a huge help. ❤️ CAN YOU HELP PEGGY? ❤️ Please complete our application form below if you feel you could offer this lovely girl the understanding and security she deserves. 👉 bestlifedogrescue.co.uk/adop… Best Life Dog Rescue is a small, volunteer-run, foster-based rescue in Doncaster. We have no kennels, so finding the right foster home is absolutely essential. 🏡 Home checks, vet checks, ID checks and adoption fee apply. 🙏 PLEASE SHARE PEGGY’S APPEAL! Even if you can’t help personally, someone you know might be just the person she’s waiting for. Three weeks isn’t long, and we desperately want to make sure Peggy has somewhere safe and loving to go when her owner’s surgery comes around. ❤️🐾 Best Life Dog Rescue 🐶💕 #dogs #pets #adoptdontshop #England @KatieAmess @liamgallagher @rickygervais @JaneFallon @Jan_Leeming @clarebalding @AlistairCarns Peggy is desperate for a home, posted 11 Oct 2026.
