EUROPEAN LANGUAGES DAY! 🇫🇷🇪🇸🇩🇪🇸🇪🇧🇪🇮🇹🇵🇱🇨🇭🇩🇰 The whole school embraced European languages day today by dressing as different European countries or by wearing the colours of a flag. We have been learning different languages all week and have enjoyed pronouncing new words.

EYFS read the story 'Are these my horns' in the forest school. They then went off to search for objects that they could use as horns! They had lots of discussions about similarities and differences. #thatisnotastick #LakeEYFS #forestschool

The children in EYFS have really enjoyed this Queen related phonics activity this week. They made a crown and then read the words on the 'jewels'. They knew they could only put 'real' words on their crown. Thank you @PhonicsFamily for the inspiration. #Lakereading #phonics

Our commitment to staff CPD for PE continued today with tennis. 🎾 The staff meeting included practical demonstrations, many pointers for correct technique and handgrip and highlighted the importance of the fundamental skills of agility,balance and coordination. #LakePE #tennis

Our day 4 challenge for National School Sports Week was a Speedkix penalty radar gun challenge! The radar gun measured the speed of the ball and we played different games as a team. It was a great way to be active and #TogetherAgain #YouthSportTrust #NSSW2021 Thanks @Speedkixltd
