So privileged to have taught this cohort last year! So proud of them - and the whole fabulous school! - for how hard they’ve/we’ve worked and made the best of the the rubbish Covid situations! #TeamLayton

Been somewhere very exciting today! Cannot wait to share it with my year threes on Monday! @Layton_Y3 @Layton_Primary #Ballet @TheRoyalBallet #primarysteps
Had a nice quiet summer - it was much needed after THE most intense NQT year ever! Just finished this read (with my brindle cuddle buddy) and highly recommend! First class novel for 3P selected! #TheWildRobot #LKS2 #classnovel #kidlit #primaryteacher
This isn’t even a little educational but is this the baker you were telling me about @OliviaDomics @jonathan6671 ? I’m dribbling at the thought of the recipes in here! 🍩🍫🎂
Well, I thoroughly enjoyed this one @jonathan6671… until the last chapter - AGAIN! This story line was much more engaging and the twist (although #kidlit predictable) was much more satisfying BUT THE LAST CHAPTER 😱😱🤦🏻♀️
Finished the first and ready for the second. I’m not sure I’m convinced on them though @jonathan6671 - it had potential and then ended on its own predictable iteration of ‘and then I woke up and it was a dream’… #unpopularopinion ? 🙈 #kidlit #primaryreading #reading for #LKS2
Phew! I made it! #NQT year is successfully complete! 🥳🥂 A HUGE thank you to all those who have supported me this past year 🥰 Roll on September and all its new challenges! #RQT #primaryteacher #shootforthemoon #bloomandgrow
Following that 👇🏼 announcement, I can reveal I am TL for #Year3 next year. #LKS2 teachers, what can you recommend me? We’re starting off with rocks, maps and the Stone Age in foundation subjects and I’d love to hear which texts have had your Year 3’s hooked! #primaryteacher
I’ve been MIA- it’s been a heck a few weeks! Popped bubbles, circuit breakers, interviews, observations… Very pleased to say that I was successful in that interview round and I am now a Year Group Leader at my current 3-Form come September! 🤩 #primaryteacher #shootforthemoon
When the bubble pops, it’s vital to ensure you have a good team around you to support you. Miss Eevie has been most diligent and helpful today in assisting to marking work and planning. Miss Eevie would like to know how Mr Oscar has been helping! @OliviaDomics #TeamLayton #WFH

Don’t adjust your SpectreSpecs, you’re just as sane as I am. This really IS a real life Quibbler issue! Sophie in 5P worked her socks off after she was inspired by her current reading book. Someone contact the Daily Prophet, looks like Rita Skeeta is out of a job!
When the kitchen table looks like this, you know you’ve come up with a good idea... 💡🌿✂️✏️💚 #primaryteacher #nqt
Elated to announce to the Twittersphere that I have been offered a permanent contract to teach at my current 3-form entry primary school and honestly, I couldn’t be more chuffed about it if I tried! #TeamLayton 🥂👩🏻🏫
After a tough half term that went quickly but seemed to take so long, I had my #COVIDvaccine on Saturday and couldn’t get out of bed yesterday. 🤕🤒😴 Taking it easy today and getting ahead with some literacy planning I am very excited about! 📝🏠🏩⛪️ #primaryteacher #nqt
Finally, @laytoncooks is doing the week for me!🍫🍩🍪 I’ve been busy for this one... #blondie #brownie #chocolate

We look forward to welcoming everyone back to school on Monday! We can’t wait to see you all 👋🏼
A little bedtime book read of this beautiful wee page-turner by @tamzinmerchant with my best pal 🐾📖 I’m only a few chapters in, but I’m hooked already! @Layton_Year5 look out for this on our freshly stocked book shelves! 🎩✨💙 #kidlit #TheHatmakers #childrensliterature

Year 5 are all competing to see who can find the most Peculiar Place to enjoy a Brilliant Book this week and they’ve invited you to join in too! #WorldBookDay2021 @Layton_Primary
Look at what the clever @MrsAskham_LSA has created for #WorldBookDay2021! This is going to be a HIT! 🎭📚
I’ve been super busy over the last few days making something very special for #WorldBookDay2021 #WBD21 I’m quite excited about this! @Layton_Year5 @Layton_Primary @Layton_y2 @Layton_FStage @Layton_Y4 @Year1_Layton @Layton_Y3 @Year6_Layton
