That’s one of my students making me proud! :)
Thanks to these two Rolla Middle School students that stopped by Troop Headquarters to thank the men and women of the MSHP - Troop I, for their service. They brought water and some sweat treats.

Communicating in crisis is more about connecting than conveying. This means leaders should be listening as much or more than they are conveying.

Just love this so much always, but especially during this time! Thanks @DrBradJohnson! #WeAreBethpage
😂😂😂😂
*Flash forward to teaching in 2050* Teacher: So let's say Cindy buys 120 rolls of toilet paper, and… Student: That’s not realistic! Teacher: Now let me tell you about what happened in 2020…

👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻 what a valid point! @GovParsonMO @MissouriSenate @MOHouseGOP @MOHouseDems
So, @GovParsonMO @MissouriSenate @MOEducation @MOHouseGOP @MOHouseDems, just checking...schools can't be trusted to use local control in deciding their school calendars, but we are trusted/expected to make this decision? Gotcha, thanks.

Admin, while one of the tougher aspects of your job, supporting your teachers with student discipline in the classrooms and supporting them with parents, it is also one of the most important aspects of your job. If teachers don’t know you have their back, they wont be committed.

Saving this as a reminder for my own teaching
High expectations are meaningless unless students know how to reach them. They are achieved when students understand WHAT they need to do, WHY, and given the HOW, which are the tools, support, and encouragement to achieve them. Success/ achievement is a process not a product.

Effective leaders don’t look for trouble, mistakes, or negativity. We tend to see what we focus on. They Focus instead on what your staff is doing well and build on their strengths and successes. This will do more to alleviate any issues than just focusing on what is wrong.

Knecaps played a board game today to review non fiction text features. They were loud but completely on task the entire time. #knecaps @L_Knehans @RollaMiddle

Hats off to @1_cpark for having his team stick around and watch the half time presentation of the state wrestling squad instead of going straight to the locker room. Says a lot about our programs and how much they support each other! #gobulldogs

Teachers, Sick days aren't just for physical aliment. when you feel like you're about to crash and burnout, take a mental health day! the school won't close and the world won't end.

So thankful to work with such caring coworkers! Thanks @DaniBaldwin15 for watching my class and offering to help with my sub plans for tomorrow. Being sick sucks, but at least I know people will help if needed!

If an admins biggest problem is a teacher wearing jeans then they have no problems.
