April is National Bilingual/Multilingual Learner Advocacy Month. Excellence for MLs doesn’t happen by accident. It happens because we design it! As we celebrate multilingualism and embrace diversity, let’s support all learners on their journey. 🌐 Together, we thrive! 📚 #Multilingualism #teachingkids #LanguageLearning

We must let go at the thought that learning English as an additional language in school is a problem. #bilingualism is an asset.

Culturally inclusive or diverse books are not just for the Multilinguals. ALL learners benefit from hearing stories & reading books abt people who are different from them. Empathy is grown from stepping in the shoes of others and walking in them. Books build #EMPATHY. ~Valentina Gonzalez #culturallyresponsiveteaching #booksbooksbooks #languagelearning #diversebooks

This is an important time to stand up for language education. Teachers of multilingual learners, or English learners, in our nation are important. Every teacher is a language teacher, and every student is a language learner. Language is in every classroom. Language is an asset. It’s part of our identity. It’s integral. It’s culturally rooted, and it’s ever evolving. Never forget how important you are as an educator of all students, including those who speak languages other than English, and are learning English as an additional language. #teaching #teachingenglish #teachingkids #language #languages #education
