The last day of school is a great day for a leadership project right? Our 3rd graders decided they wanted to give back to our amazing @FrayserTigers staff by cleaning, organizing, and redecorating the staff work room. They worked SO hard all day. I am so proud of these leaders!

I think our 3rd graders are going to love their end of the year gift this year! I don’t understand the obsession with these, but our kids are big fans. I’m so proud of our @FrayserTigers for pushing through to the end of a very challenging year! They deserve all the fun things!💚

We found some great classroom decor in a drawer today. What a treat. 😂

Four more leaders met their academic WIGs this week! So proud of these @FrayserTigers for making more than a year’s worth of growth in their text reading levels this year, even with all of the craziness they have had to deal with. 💚🐯💚

One of my 3rd graders today while I was listening to her read: “‘Bella was excited. Today was a special day. It was February 15th, her birthday.’ Ohhh, I didn’t know Bella was an Aquarius!” 😂😂 These kids, y’all. Making those connections. 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

My kids started the day a little squirrely, so I busted out the flashlights for the first time this year. One of the most reliable teaching tricks I have up my sleeve. 😅😂🔦 Unexpected bonus: it really helped one of my kids with 1 to 1 correspondence during guided reading. 🤗

Today one of my kids told me that when she turns her light green it means that she agrees with what is being said and when it’s red it means she disagrees with what is being said. I love how she created her own little system for nonverbal responses. 😂 @FrayserTigers

Four of our friends met their end of the year reading goal yesterday, so today our class is celebrating them with cookies and lunch bunch! Our 4 leaders who met their WIG got to pick out their own special treat too. So proud of these @FrayserTigers! 💚🐯💚

Live scores are my favorite. We did a math CFA today, and one of my kids started to shut down. After I noticed, I told my kids the CFA was a live score and they could have as many tries as they needed to reach proficient. His whole body relaxed and he started working. It’s magic.

I just called my husband to ask him to bring my kids a treat to school. Before we hung up he said, “Wait. Is your kid who celebrates Ramadan in this group?” How lucky am I to have a husband who remembers that & checks to make sure everyone is included? Just needed to brag on him.

I got to meet with our Creating a Leadership Environment Action Team last night after school, and I am so inspired after hearing them synergerize to create an amazing plan to leaderize our building! I can’t wait to see their vision become a reality! @FrayserTigers @TheLeaderinMe

We are FINALLY back in our guided reading groove! I am so relieved that for the most part, we are all still on track to meet our growth goals. I got to conference 1 on 1 with kids today after they read, and I love seeing how proud they are to see their dot move! @FrayserTigers

When you and your coteacher plan an engaging little study of germs with a fun little experiment and then one of your sweet little leaders uses her new tech skills to google the results of the experiment 🙃🙂🙃🙂🙃 work smarter not harder y’all 😂 @FrayserTigers
