Thursday, Helena-West Helena had the honor of serving as Arkansas’ Capital for a Day. It was a great opportunity to showcase the best of Phillips County & visit with Governor @SarahHuckabee about the future of our community. A lot to be proud of — & a lot worth fighting for.

Helena-West Helena was Arkansas’ capital for the day. Because every corner of our state matters. And what happens in the Delta matters for every part of Arkansas.

Helena-West Helena was the first community I visited as Governor. I keep coming back because I love the people, the history, the music and the optimism. If we can transform this city, we can transform Arkansas. Great to be with leaders who share the vision and are working to make it happen.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve had the opportunity to provide new American and Arkansas flags to several of our local schools. 🇺🇸 It’s a small way to support our schools and make sure the flags flying over them represent our country and state with pride. #PhillipsCountyStrong🇺🇸

In a small market, it is bigger than basketball. They are more than just our heroes, they are part of the community here in Memphis. In bigger cities, superstars can hideaway, but not here. BC embraced that and will always be a Memphian. It means more here than other places. Hate on Memphis from afar all you want, but you won’t find a more caring basketball family. 15 forever.

This one hit me. I got this today, and it meant more than they probably realize. You never know the impact you’re making… until it shows up like this. Teaching is not easy, but it’s worth it.
