Metallica frontman James Hetfield criticized entertainers who use concerts to promote political messages during the band's performance at the Sphere in Las Vegas on October 10.
Addressing the audience, Hetfield said Metallica was not there to influence fans with political agendas but to help them escape the outside world through “love, energy and heavy music.”
His remarks came weeks after rapper Macklemore was removed from Ed Sheeran's US tour following his onstage “Free Palestine” speech in support of Palestinians in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.
Although Hetfield did not name Macklemore or any other artist, his comments have drawn attention over musicians using their platforms to address political issues.

As a British Jew, I am deeply concerned by the Green Party's vote to declare Zionism racism.
Whatever our political differences, Jewish people must never face prejudice or discrimination.
Yesterday, I raised these concerns in Parliament and asked how Jewish communities can be reassured.
I welcome the Home Secretary's clear response: every council, regardless of political control, must uphold equality law and protect its residents from discrimination.
Nobody should be accepting this "two state solution" narrative at all or ever again.
It has always looked to confer horrific conditions on Palestine and Palestinians that leaves them eternally vulnerable to the paedophile Epstein state.

I've been watching lots of podcasts with ex-military men from special forces. I have a strong feeling that some very intelligent and qualified men are creating a plan in the shadows that none of the regular folk know anything about. Forget about “patriot platform”, I can almost guarantee ex-Special forces men are forming something of a nationalist group. Not just in Britain but throughout Europe and the Anglosphere. These men haven’t risked their lives and trained harder than any other man for no reason. For us civilians, have faith in our special forces, because 90% of them come from working-class life. They won’t let this country fall into the wrong hands.

BREAKING: For the first time, Yemen's Houthis declare they will strike Saudi Aramco's headquarters building and complex in Dammam, as well as Aramco's Riyadh oil refinery, and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, if the Saudis strike Sanaa's oil depot.

Our latest video investigation exposes a British man who fought for the Israeli army in Gaza when war crimes appear to have been committed.
Jonathan Burman, who is in his mid-20s and from Manchester, posted photographs on his Instagram account showing him fighting in Khan Younis early in the conflict.
Newly discovered images show Burman standing in front of a primary school in Gaza that had been set on fire, as a fellow soldier smiles beside him.
They were posted on his private Instagram account in January 2024, six weeks after the Israeli army violently occupied the school.

BREAKING: 🇵🇱🇮🇱 Israel spied on all of Poland using software—allegedly intended for catching criminals—that it had sold to the country
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has called the Pegasus spyware scandal a "crime against the state," accusing the previous PiS government of exposing sensitive data on thousands of Polish citizens, including opposition figures and independent prosecutors, to Israeli company NSO Group without oversight.
Tusk said Poland spent over PLN 60 million on the spyware, including PLN 25 million from a fund for crime victims and over PLN 30 million paid to the Israeli supplier.
He said Polish intelligence confirmed that Israeli entities controlled the system, while its contract restricted surveillance of Russian, Belarusian, and North Korean numbers but permitted monitoring of Polish, French, and German citizens.
He called the affair one of Poland's biggest scandals since the fall of communism and vowed to hold those responsible accountable.
