Oh hey - the Workrate Hockey newsletter came out yesterday. We talk injuries, why Sebastian Aho won’t be a 100 point player, and the eerie parallels between the Canes and the Vegas Golden Knights and what should be setting off alarms. subscribe for free! workrate-hockey.ghost.io/wor…
It’s that time of year again - if you’re going to the Carolina Hurricanes professional ice hockey team match tonight and need a parking pass, I’ve got you - $30. Hit me up. If you DM and I don’t respond @ me here because I don’t always get DM notifications.
I literally made it through the entire show and thought I was ok then they played this and it was over for me. I don’t know how those guys made it through the show.
Also I’d run through a fucking wall for Jon Moxley.

Happy banner raising day! The Workrate Hockey newsletter has risen from the dead, where we talk about Alexander Nikishin, talk people off the ledge regarding Nadeau and Under Sorum, and a Steve Austin ECW reference. Subscribe and stuff. workrate-hockey.ghost.io/wor…
It’s funny how certain reply guys, when you roll through their accounts, check so many of the same boxes. It’s like chud bingo.
The Workrate Hockey Newsletter came out on Friday. I forgot to tell you, mainly because we’re scraping from the bottom of the barrel for content. Noah Philp! Patrick Swayze! Dragging the Florida Panthers! Subscribe for free! workrate-hockey.ghost.io/wor…
Well, sure.
Sardarian was drafted out of Russia (not the NCAA) in 2021, so his rights don’t expire until he turns 27 (he’s currently 23). Release says he’ll report to AHL Chicago but he doesn’t currently have a contract - not that he needs an NHL one to play for the Wolves.
The #Canes have acquired forward Stiven Sardarian from the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for future considerations.

One of my key frustrations with the “Canes Yard Sale” is just how badly the Facebook Marketplace Thousandaires decided to game the system so that actual hockey players could no longer get actual hockey equipment. Player sticks are not as valuable as you think they are.
Most equipment at those things has little value to youth hockey anyway - helmets don’t have required labels, sticks are too long/too high a flex - but as @DebM_ACK said, it’d be nice if they got a chance.
Also spoiler: any “player stick” is usually several generations old so you think you’re getting a $400 retail stick made for a player when you’re actually getting a newly made stick of a model they haven’t made since ‘19 with a new sticker on it because hockey players hate change

The Workrate Hockey Newsletter is out. The Canes aren’t doing anything, so let’s talk about former Canes. Plus, a Song of the Day that takes up half the newsletter! Subscribe for free, because the AI can’t have my #content. workrate-hockey.ghost.io/wor…
Addendum to today’s newsletter: Suzanne Vega’s second album actually has 2 versions of Tom’s Diner; the second is an instrumental version that sounds like the moment in a TV show or movie when a character is silently concocting a poorly thought out scheme. open.spotify.com/track/6n85r…
