Here is a new app which I hope will help learners build confidence in rearranging Physics equations. No triangles here! 🙂drjonesphysics.com/equations

Science teachers. I've been reading through this useful document on the language of Maths in Science. Free from @theASE. A very useful tome for Science teachers and one I have only come across this week: ase.org.uk/mathsinscience
Entered all of our A Level Phys students in to the British Physics Olympiad, 3 have come back having qualified. All round excellent scores, and an excellent way to try out problem solving skills in a new and interesting way! Bring on the next round!

Surface tension is actually a tension. Watch how the soap film acts like a thin elastic band.

My photo kissing a nuclear waste cask went viral and people had… opinions about it.
There was outrage, with many claiming it was dangerous and that I was hurting my future children (lol).
Here’s why kissing a nuclear waste cask is actually fine🧵
Don't know if I'm late to the party on this one or what, but I hate stearic acid to show latent heat as it takes about 40 mins! The answer... beeswax! Takes about 8 mins and hovers perfectly at 52 deg. S's think it's magic, but that's what Science is! @ChatPhysics
A fantastic article written by a fantastic practition, if I implement this into my practice, then my students will probably do better!
Incredibly proud of this piece I’ve put together for @RoySocChem. I would really appreciate any RTs or feedback ☺️

ANNOUNCING!
Saturday 1st of March 2025, the biggest event that @TTRadioOfficial has ever hosted - Teachers Talk Connect!
We want you! Speaker applications are now open, details here... ttradio.org/teachers-talk-na…
My hatred of formula triangles is now in print @RSC_EiC, really happy with how it's turned out and looking forward to writing some more on linking Maths and Science teaching!
A good choice, should be a permanent change but knowing it'll be for the next 3 years will be helpful!
Students taking GCSE maths, physics and combined science exams in 2025, 2026 and 2027 will be provided with formulae and revised equation sheets.

Before I start making them, does anyone have SLoP booklets for each of the topics in GSCE Physics? The ones I have gathered for Bio and Chem are 200 AO1 style questions, can't find anything similar for Phys though... @Hookean1 @ChatPhysics
It would be something like these great ones done by @MrARobbins, adam-robbins.com/2020/06/12/… Loads of simple questions to get information drilled in

Did not see this coming!
There's an Ofqual consultation on potentially continuing to give GCSE equation sheets for the next three years.
