It can't be said often enough: from 100% energy consumed an ICE is 16-25% efficient an BEV 87-91%! Share with family, friends and ... all other

Some thoughts on retros (and a much longer thread than is my wont—sorry). A poll over on LinkedIn asked, "How long does it take you to prepare and create a retro?" There's an entire thread talking about the destructive implications of that question, so let's do that! 1/15

What happened to Agile Coaching? I’ve been in Agile for quite some time now What I see today doesn’t look anything like the Agile I got involved with I think it's time we talked about it

Then there's position creep AKA No one wants to be a Scrum Master forever Here's the career path: • Take a 2-day Scrum Master certification course • Spend a minute being a Scrum Master • Start calling yourself an Agile Coach What's missing?

I really don't much like it when orgs treat contractors as second-class citizens. Everybody's working to make a better product, and it's really a bad idea to think in terms of throwaway people. The payment arrangements (which is the only real difference from FTEs) are irrelevant.

Any management that wants you to give them predictions so they can plan is living in la-la land. That's the opposite of agility. Slapping agile-ish words on waterfall does not give you agility.

Architecture reviews are, I think, valuable. Hardly anybody does that, though (and there's no point if you have no will to make changes). A code review—where you're looking at only a small bit of code in isolation—is not nearly so useful.
