Great to see so many people supporting the #VatCut #TaxedOut campaign pushing for reform of VAT to decrease the Tax Burden for #Hospitality - it’s amazing to have so many great #HospitalityVoices pushing for change. So many to mention but to name but a few @Sacha_Lord @MickKill @AltonSteven @TommyBanks8 @paul_heathcote @Porkyaskew @lordwaynebas @AlexReilley1 @greatorex @EssexPR @Karakyn @LaraInCornwall @michelrouxjr @banks_chef @leonburton @glenn_evans @ChefTomKerridge @Porkyaskew Our proposal to Cut Vat to 13% in line with Europe is gaining traction and support across the industry including the @ntiaofficial @wonky_table @BIIandBIIAB @scothospgroup @Craft_Guild @thechefsforum @NFFF_UK @HospitalityTday @CAMRA_Official @tourismsvoice @CampaignforPubs @PubsAdvisory more to follow… With now nearly all the major parties pushing for #VatReform and the @LibDems @Conservatives & @reformparty_uk all putting or looking to put VAT on the table from our proposal - it feels now that it’s a matter of when, not if - but we will keep on pushing until Vat in line with Europe becomes a reality. Amazing to see also that our research has been endorsed by the Institute of Hosptiality as they push for chartered status for Hospitality @IoH_Online @RBWR You can see the research and proposal here

Across Europe and Ireland, Hospitality VAT averages between 10-13% we are demanding the Government enact an emergency #VatCut to 12.5% (which it already has the systems set up to do) whilst it also investigates the Rates debacle. Some countries are lower. Some are higher. But that is the average. The UK sits at 20%. It’s not competitive. It’s not sustainable. This is not a tax cut ask. It is a correction back to the European average. If Europe and Ireland can back its hospitality sector, so can we. #TaxedOut #Hospitality #VAT #CutVat

After today’s higher business rates bills bombshell, I’m calling on the Chancellor to throw our high streets a lifeline by: ✂️using new powers to lower high street (RLH) business rates by the full 20p 🔶 slashing VAT for hospitality as we @LibDems have called for

BUSINESS RATES SCANDAL Rachel Reeves, Budget speech: “the lowest rates since 1991, paid for through higher rates on…..warehouses used by online giants” So here’s the truth behind Labour’s “fairness”: 📦 Online giants → Ave 16% rise 🍺 Your local pub → Ave 66% rise Small businesses hammered. Big business off the hook. @Conservatives would completely scrap business rates for 250,000 shops, pubs, hotels and restaurants. Paid for by cutting welfare spending and cost of doing govt.

Reeves boasted a “new golden era for hospitality with permanently lower tax rates for over 750,000 retail, hospitality and leisure properties”. However, on same day a separate government agency slipped out a new, much higher assessment of business rates

"They are employing less people. A third have reduced both hours and the number of staff they have." Hospitality is being #TaxedOut and these figures from @KERB_ demonstrate why we need urgent action to support businesses. Write to your MP now 👉 visualisation.polimapper.co.…

The status-quo existence Western Palestinianism fought so hard to retain for 2 years. “Free Palestine” ignores Palestiniąn savages executing Palestiniąn civilians. To acknowledge them today means acknowledging them before today. And that can’t do that.

Our hearts are shattered. Emerging from the holy fast of Yom Kippur, British Jews are now grasping the full extent of today’s terror attack at the Heaton Park Synagogue in Manchester. This is the day we hoped we would never see, but which deep down, we knew would come. For so long we have witnessed an unrelenting wave of Jew hatred on our streets, on campuses, on social media and elsewhere – this is the tragic result. This not only an assault on the Jewish community, but an attack on the very foundations of humanity and the values of compassion, dignity and respect which we all share. I have spoken this evening to Rabbi Daniel Walker, the spiritual leader of the Heaton Park Synagogue. His courageous leadership, together with the resilience of his congregation, are an inspiration to us all. May the victims’ memories be for a blessing and may the injured be granted a swift recovery. I pray that this tragedy strengthens our collective resolve to confront antisemitism, in all its guises, once and for all.

This is what happens when antisemitism and Jew hate is grotesquely normalised. So much for #neveragain. It’s time to stop allowing history to repeat itself telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/10…

Plymouth has made it to the BBC! #TaxedOut 'Basically we are glorified tax collectors' ... sage words from @zephyrburgers The industry is on its knees and we need a VAT reduction in-line with our European conterparts otherwise it drops off a cliff. @BBCBreakfast @UKHospKate

Seriously sobering reading. But not a surprise to anyone in retail or hospitality. Hospitality and retail jobs plummet since Rachel Reeves’s budget thetimes.com/article/bc481e5… @UKHofficial @UKHospKate @allen_m_simpson

Last year, hospitality was creating thousands of jobs. But since the Budget we’ve been losing them. We need change, before we are #TaxedOut. Learn more about the campaign and how you can get involved here: ukhospitality.org.uk/campaig…

The Hospitality sector is being eroded. 1 in 3 trading at a loss and considering closure. 60% have made job cuts already. Pubs closing at the fastest rate on record. We need: NI increase to be reversed. A sector specific VAT reduction. Business rates reformed.

Mohamad Soliman threw Molotov cocktails at a group of Jews in an attempt to burn them alive—simply for being Jewish. The firebombing of Jews in Boulder, Colorado is the latest act of antisemitic terrorism inspired by “Globalize the Intifada,” which must be recognized for what it is: a hate movement. I stand unequivocally with my Jewish brothers and sisters in the fight against antisemitism and terrorism.

Drone footage from today reveals: Armed Hamas terrorists in Khan Yunis firing at Gazan civilians collecting humanitarian aid. Captured by an IDF drone - masked Hamas operatives seen shooting and throwing rocks at civilians near looted aid trucks. Hamas is a brutal terrorist organization, doing everything it can to block the distribution of humanitarian aid in Gaza.

The world's largest media channels just spent the day spreading Hamas lies about Israeli attacks near aid centres in Gaza. It was empty propaganda pushing a narrative that benefits only Hamas. Mark my words. These demonising media lies will get Jews in Europe & the US killed.
