IDK why people still bot Spaces. It's quite literally one of the most obvious things known to man. @X allows you to see up to 1,000 listeners' profile pictures in the listener list. Trust me, I know. I've hosted Spaces with hundreds of real listeners. Whenever you see around 30–40 people in a Space, but the "Other listeners" section is packed, there's a 99% good chance they're using cheap bots, typically browser instances that aren't even logged in. When someone isn't logged into X, they show up as an "Other listener." Now, when you see the same suspiciously consistent number of "Other listeners" every single time someone hosts a Space, like 50+ without fail, it's painfully obvious what's going on. I've been doing marketing WAY before Web3 was even a thing, and I know my way around automation. But this kind of artificial engagement disgusts me. I'd rather put together genuinely creative campaigns that attract real people and build actual awareness than inflate numbers to impress people who don't know any better.
