I just can’t believe it! My dear dear friend Ozzy has passed away only weeks after our show at Villa Park.
It’s just such heartbreaking news that I can’t really find the words, there won’t ever be another like him. Geezer, Bill and myself have lost our brother.

As teachers, we are often told WHAT to teach but not always HOW to teach it!
Effective teaching includes retrieval practice (recalling information), interleaving (mixing different topics rather than teaching topics in “blocks”), scaffolding (providing temporary supports) and so much more!
It is essential that teachers learn these #ScienceOfLearning instructional strategies to make both our teaching AND student learning more effective!

Almost all students do learn the same way but in a typical classroom they are at very different points in their learning, so differentiation in terms of prior knowledge is essential though for anything else, questionable (and even if effective, is it a good use of teacher time?)
