I do however, think that today is a perfect matchup to get him going and to have a breakout game as a 76er. Why I like it: • Brooklyn is allowing the MOST assists per game to opponents this season at 30.8 APG. • They’re also allowing the 4th most PPG and the 3rd most above the break 3PA in the league. • Cade has yet to clear this line this season, but the underlying playmaking numbers suggest some positive regression could be coming. The underlying numbers are what really stand out: • Cade has recorded 14+ potential assists in EVERY game this season. • He’s reached 16+ potential assists in all but one game. • In his last 3 seasons, when facing a top 10 assist allowing defense and playing 32+ minutes, Cade has gone OVER this line in 78.6% of games. The matchup breakdown: Brooklyn is particularly vulnerable in the areas where Cade generates a large portion of his assists. • 33% of Cade’s assists come from restricted area buckets.
