i've been looking into more way how to organize panels on screen to make mixing and matching panels possible, so i came up with this concept

basically instead of spaces being separate tabs now each opened resource/scene provide panels to dock. you can open any amount of resource/scenes and dock their panels in any way

[IntelliSense Disclosure] I have to admit, I used IntelliSense and syntax highlighting to assist me in with this project. I struggle to remember all the symbols of the standard library, so these tools come in handy and speed up my development flow. Hope for your understanding.

I will be talking about what I learned on my journey of creating GDstudio at #GodotFest 2026!
What happens when you spend months inside the Godot Editor's source code? At #GodotFest 2026, Zagir will crack open the editor and look at what Nodes, Controls, resources and the scene tree actually cost. godotfest.com/talks/cracking… #godotengine

set it up once as a layout, one per feature, and switch between them without closing anything...

This is AI-generated, BTW, like most coding projects nowadays, and it was also posted on Godot's subreddit. If you disclose it, you get banned, if you do it in secret, that's okay. That's the meta in 2026. I'm just telling it like it is, so don't get mad at me. And of course nothing against this user, let's end the witch hunt already...

Starting tomorrow, The TEAM FORTRESS 30TH event hits TF2 Classified with v3.1.0. Celebrate the 30th anniversary of QuakeWorld Team Fortress with a week of Classic-Vision, retro maps, and an unhealthy fixation on the past. Update ships Monday, but the update page ships right now.

I don’t get how games like this cost $300 million and 5 years to make. Most of the design is copy-pasted and that’s the meat of the game. They aren’t building their engines from scratch. Graphically it’s nothing we haven’t seen before. Where are the resources going?

This anti-AI and other reddit delusions reminds me of how communism was being performed in soviet union - through shame, blackmailing and making everyone who questions "the party" an enemy
My post got removed from the Godot subreddit because I used Codex to generate some code. I don't like that. I think that, as a community, we should be inclusive of all kinds of people (yes, even AI bros). Instead, I feel like you're forced to be anti-AI if you want to be part of the Godot community. I'm not pro-AI. I'm just an artist. I'm paying a programmer every week to teach me how to code manually because I genuinely want to learn the craft. But at the same time, I don't see the world in black and white. Codex is a tool that helps me create prototypes and proofs of concept as an artist. I don't think that's inherently a bad thing. You can argue that GPT was built on stolen data and that it's therefore unethical to use it... but do you eat meat? I've been vegan for 10 years, the meat industry is literally destroying the planet, and it's based on killing innocent creatures... but am I forcing you to be vegan or vegetarian? People should be free to have their own ethical beliefs and draw the line in different places.
